I kind of like Porkchop, but personally, I've always wanted a chocolate lab and to name it Murphy.
Murphy + Brown dog = Murphy Brown. Cheesy, I know, but Murphy is a cool name on its own!

I think it's a good name. The most important thing is that you love the name and the dog. Congrats on having a lovable pet!

Yes! That's an adorable name. Your dog sounds like a great dog and I hope you and he share many memorable and wonderful years together. Here are my animals names:
Tate. Lady. Susie. Skipper. Kodi. Abe. Eddie. Gilbert. Moses. Primo and Buster. (the first five are my dogs the rest vary in their species.) Congrats to you!

yes we adopted a cocker spaniel from the spca and his name was porkchop and we decided to keep the name and he is the most well behaved dog we've ever owned. plus it's easier when setting up appointments at the groomers because they always remember who he is.

No. You should do something like Buttercup or Brownie. Something that's brown like your dog. That would be cute. My dog is a white Pomeranian. His name is Patrick and loves to chew shoes. He is 7 months! He gets in trouble for chewing shoes though...

Excellent name. I have a 90 pound yellow lab and he's a sweetie. His name is Otter, but I didn't name him. They are great dogs. I wish you many pleasurable years together.

How would you or one of your children like to be named Porkchop? I think it is a ridiculous name for any dog, but that is just my humble opinion.

Name him whatever you like. We can only suggest names not pick them. My personal choice for the dog, if male would be Zeus.
