My dog, Sugar didn't produce enough milk for her puppies. Just enough for a feeding or two, so I started bottle feeding them @ 2 weeks. I started feeding them puppy food @ 3 1/2 weeks. Do I need to mix it w/ water or formula? They seem to be eating & drinking fine. They do seem to sleep a bit. Wepla w/ them. I come into the kitchen and I'm covered w/ puppies.Which I don't mind. The come to me and sit @ my feet until I pick them up and love them. I feel like their mom. I think if they could reach out for me they would. Is this ok. Also since they are eating food do I need to worm them earlieror wait till they are 6 weeks old

Mix the puppy food with water. This is what you would do if they were still nursing from mom.

Yes it is time to start worming them, but not because they are eating food. Puppies usually get worms from mom, this is common. You should deworm mom about 4 days after the puppies then repeat again in 2 weeks.

And so you don't get confused...Your Dog can not get pregnant 1 month after giving birth. Their heat cycles are typically 6 to 7 months.

I generally start feeding my pups soft solid food sometime between 3-4 weeks. Yes, pups sleep lots. Nice that you can have them in the kitchen and with you. Be careful though.. I had one get stuck in a narrow area once. I usually start worming them at 3 weeks or so.

Sounds like you're doing a great job. You'll probably want to start working on a sales contract for them. Email me if you want a sample.

it is best to moisten the food and you can use either water or formula.
I start worming my pups at 2 weeks old and every 2 weeks until 8 weeks when they go to new homes but shots can't be started until 6 weeks

you worm them at 2, 4,6,and 12 weeks old its just a little bottle of drops you can get from a pet shop or vet no very dear, also you can buy a lactation milk mixture for the mother if you want once they start eating and drinking on their own there pretty well right. And if you don't walk them outside your house and no ones dogs come near them you don't need to vaccinate until 12 weeks old which the new owner can do and pay for themselves.

yes! add water to their food to help soften it or get them moistfood !

you should cont to feed them their puppy formula as extra nourishment /vitamins.
when you nurse them you do become somewhat like a foster mom to them.
I have foster alot of kittens and they too bond with me and my family due to bottling feeding them .

you still need to de- worm them depending when and what your Vet suggested!
the pups consider you their 2nd mom....
that is so sweet you helped take care of them!
what doe their dogie mom think?
is she loving them and playing with them still?

well take care & remember to have your dog spayed soon ! the vet will tell you when but reminder she could get pregnant again 1' month after giving birth!

Job well done!
