most normal reputable shops will have you sign a waiver saying that you approved the location of the tattoo before it was actually inked. when they put the stencil on your body, they should have had you look at it in the mirror and give the go ahead before inking it. after i apply a stencil, i will have the customer look at it in the mirror, and sometimes i even go as far as to tell them to walk around with it and see how it moves with their body so that they are certain it's in the right place for them. if you do remember signing the paperwork and it mentioning something about the placement of the tattoo (some people don't even read the paperwork they just sign!) then they are not liable. if you signed saying you agreed to the location then they're not at fault. however, if he never asked you to look at it and there was nothing on the paperwork stating tattoo location, then i'd say at best you can pay to have him add to it to make it look right to you. most places won't give you a refund, but i guess it never hurts to talk to the shop owner or manager and see if you an come to some sort of an agreement. good luck with that.

Most (if not all) tattoo artists will put a transfer on your skin FIRST, to make 100% sure you're happy with the placement. Only once you have said yes , can they start on the actual tattoo. If he didn't do this or if you said yes to a different position and he STILL ****** it up... you could sue him/her or get them to pay for laser removal or at the very least, get your money back or get them to add to your tattoo for free.

Unfortunately no.... Sounds like he wasnt a very good artist, he should have shown you the placement of the tattoo with a mirror before he began, mine does that all the time if its in a location I cant see very well.

Sadly to say... your gonna have to pay for an addition to make it look less off centered, but dont use the same place. Find a good one and pay the prices they ask!

A good tattoo isnt cheap. and a cheap tattoo isnt good!

You have every right to make him fix it. A tattoo is something that will be with you forever. If it's not how you want it, you shouldnt have to pay for the mistake the tattoo atrist made.

You should have said something when he did it. Did he let you stand in front of a mirror and see if you liked the positioning. If so, it's your fault not is, if he didn't then try and get them to fix it...but how are they going to do so?? It's not like he can just take it off and put it back on..

Call and talk to the manager or owner of the shop, tell them what happened and see what they say.

He should've drawn the design first, made an impression of it on your skin, then tattooed over the impression. Then, he should've asked you how things looked with the impression before he got started tattooing.

my artist had me check it out in the mirror to make sure i liked the positioning. didnt yours? theres not a whole lot to fix now that its done, but in any case you could ask him to fix it, youll most likely pay something i think because you gave him the go ahead
