We caught a thresher shark yesterday and I'm trying to find a new sauce to make it with, either for BBQ, skillet, or oven. A surprize for my wife, to show that I can cook! LOL

Whatever you do keep it moist. I advice keeping it completely covered in a marinade while it cooks. Italian dressing is an easy one. Butter and olive oil each add a good flavor but calories. Onions, peppers and garlic add taste. So, combine your ingredients but keep it covered in the sauce so that there are no tough edges.

My suggestion is some fresh rosemary, garlic, butter and italian dressing. More butter for a richer flavor but more calories. You can't go wrong with these ingredients.

Me and my family love both thresher shark and Black Tip shark. I treat it like steak. It hold up well whether it's cooked on the stove, oven or the bbq. Personally I prefer lemon juice (slices), salt and pepper. But it will take some good bottleed sauces well. Try Mange grilling sauce or Mango Jalapeno grilling sauce - it's great!

Hmmmm, First of all thresher will get dry on you very easy. Grill over a very hot grill and bast with a mixture of clarified butter, olive oil and chopped garlic. Cook it fast, IT WILL GET REALLY DRY ON YOU ! Oh and make sure you cut out all the dark meat it is very bitter, overall a decent eating fish. I'd like to hear the details of were you caught a thresher they get pretty darn big, and that tail is really cool !

I love to mix soy sauce a bit of oil and chopped garlic with salt and pepper. If you like the taste of ginger add about half as much of that as the garlic. Marinate for about 30 minutes to 1 hour turning a couple of times (keep refrigerated).

Place two tablespoons of real salted butter in a pan. Place your seasoned fish in the pan. Add onions, sliced red potatotes 1/4 cup of water. Cover and allow it to bake for at least 45 minutes. It sounds simple, but it makes for a really nice dish. Try it!
