First...The Christian that went wrong was on his name, never anybody can use the life, teachings or Jesus example for doing wrong... Different that other prophet.

Second, tolerance doesn't mean not have your ideals, ideas and fight for them... tolerance doesn't mean "let the muslims to say what they please", and I just have 2 chicks...

FOR Tash

I am so glad to have a person that so intelligent use facts of 14 centuries ago to justify facts of today, and I am specially glad you mention CRUSADES cause I love them, was the most genuine self defense and proved that even after 400 years you could not convince Europe that Mohamed is a Prophet.

Jesus allow to kill in self defense, by the way, what we suposed to do, to invaded and clap?

To Galactic Rogue:

Yes, they was made in the name of Jesus, but not using the word of Jesus, not the Bible as an excuse, was the personal point of view of The Pope and Priests, by the way, his is why we evolved form that, at least 7 centuries ago.

This days, muslims use Mohamed and Koran, and Hadiths to behave like they are in 7 century, so, I don't really see any conection whatsoever...

Jesus never commanded anyone to kill in His name. His commandment was that we love one another, as He loves us.
People who have died in His name have usually been killed by those who just don't understand...love really is the answer.
It really is that simple.

The Crusades- including cannibalism and the cold blooded slaughtered of thousands of women and children.

The Spanish Inquisition- Murdering scientists and healers as heretics.

These atrocities were carried out in the name of Christ. So Christianity isnt exactly sin-free is it?

Edit: The pope is supposed to be god's messenger is he not?? Mankind's link to God? So how can someone so corrupt as to condone violence in Jesus' name be allowed into such a holy office??

God's words were spoken to the Crusaders to whip up a religion fervour against their enemies. The Bible was quoted to give meaning to the conflict. And I'm sorry but the Crusades were not self-defence, they were meant to reclaim the holy city of Jerusalem.

Yes these conflicts are old but there are modern issues with christianity too. The Northern Ireland conflict is a perfect example. The fighting between christians and muslims in Nigeria, with Barbarism on both sides is another

There have been Christian Suicide Bombers. You really need to get out more.
Just search on the internet for Christian terrorists and similar terms and see what you get.
Keep in mind that the human body is the delivery system of last resort. If you can send Airforce why send pedestrians.

--------EDIT:
A pre-emptive war against a nonexistant threat is self defence?
How Droll!

Way to represent your religion :)

Go check your mail. You are one misinformed person. If you have a actual question i'm more then willing to help. and I'm sure Jesus would agree on your "2 chicks".. he was a great PROPHET just like Muhammad (pbuh).

there are people who do that, but very very minimal.

we are not told to die for Jesus, but rather, not deny Jesus, even at the hour of death.

that means, when someone points a gun at me, and tells me to renounce Jesus, i cannot, and i will not.

for christianity martyrs, its more of defensive, rather than offensive, compared to the muslims.

moonlit muslima::: america is attacking al-qaeda, and affiliated TERRORIST groups who BOMB innocent people. are you defending these people?????

Plenty of people do.... ever heard of the IRA? its an Irish Catholic terrorist orginzation. One of the most dangerous and biggest terrorist groups of all time. They constantly blow themselves up AND others in offense of Protestants. Maybe you should think about your questions a little harder. 2,000,000,000 Christians out there, you dont think any of them have killed themselves for Jesus?

One word for you : CRUSADES. The Christian equivelant of 'jihad'. Both words mean 'holy war'. They even had children walking at the heads of the crusade marches.

EDIT: joe w - excellent examples.
