I know guys look at porn - but how often is the "norm" to look at it and when does it become too much?

How much in normal? Do normal guys jack off at least once a day? My boyfriend of two years downloads porn almost daily to his computer and has hundreds on it. Should I be concerned? I know he would never cheat on me so should I just mind my own business? He knows that it makes me upset, we have talked about it and he just says every guy does it!

It's entirely normal for guys to want to look at naked women. It's also entirely normal for men to masturbate on a regular basis. Lots of men, especially young ones, do so on a daily basis, so that's no cause for alarm at all.

However, it's also normal for you to be upset about him keeping porn on his computer and watching it all the time - and he should respect where you're coming from.

This doesn't mean that he should immediately delete all the pics and never look at porn again. Nor does it mean that you should simply accept that what he's doing is okay, and drop all concerns. Neither of you is "right" or "wrong", you're just coming from different - and equally valid - positions.

The two of you are in a relationship. As in any relationship, you will have conflicts, and the two of you need to figure out how to come to a compromise that both of you can live with. Compromise implies give and take: if you get your way all the time, he'll eventually walk out - and vice versa.

If you can't come to a compromise that both of you can live with, then your relationship probably won't last long. If so, that doesn't mean either of you is a bad person, it just means you aren't right for each other.

Downloading porn daily is probably stretching the boundaries of normality. - The key here is that he knows it upsets you, yet makes no attempt to even limit his consumption. I think that's more the issue than the porn.

You sound amazingly reasonable and tolerant - I'm assuming you're not demanding he stops altogether. The fact that "normal" or not, he doesn't seem willing to compromise on an issue that is of concern to you, regardless of what it is, would be what worried me most.

Not every guy does it...But alot do. I honestly cant explain it. But its just something we do and honestly its better to watch it on the computer then to go out and make your own with someone else. Just show him that your fine with it as long as it doesnt become a huge thing to him to where he would rather go jack off to some porn then spend time and pay attention to you. Thats when it becomes too much

well if your b/f has to watch porn then obviously your lacking something that it has and you don't, and he isn't happy with you. if you b/f is doing this i would think it's time to kick him to the curb. your b/f should be into you not porn. well not every guy does if they have a wife or g/f that they are happy being with together.you need to seriously talk to him about it because it's NOT NORMAL, and btw tell your b/f that his computer has hundreds of viruses on it from downloading porn. it is not good. so on your part hopefully his computer crashes that way he can't watch it anymore. good luck.

Now, it sounds like he's a little bit of a pornoholic, but watching porn is a safe way to satisfy oneself when your partner's not around or isn't feeling up to fooling around. It doesn't really hurt anyone. Let a sleeping dog lie.
