Do NOT ever give your dog Tylenol, Aleve, Advil or any medications that contain the same ingredients as any of these drugs..they are very toxic to dogs.
Also do NOT give a dog asprin without checking with your vet first..while considered safe for most dogs there are dogs that should not ever be given asprin due to underlying medical conditions...do NOT ever give a med recommended on an internet site or in the amount suggested by anyone here or on any site..to do so without checking with your vet could prove very harmful even fatal to your dog. Also it is illegal for anyone to prescribe/recommend drugs or give drug dosing even if they are a licensed vet or tech since they do NOT know your dogs health history, size/weight and have not done a hands on exam of your dog.

To the "vet tech" who said that Tylenol was safe for dogs...I truely hope you are NOT really a tech since you gave the poster some very dangerous advice!!!!

NO!!!!!!! Tylenol can hurt, rather than help a dog. If you need something, a baby aspirin would be preferred. Baby aspirin are 81 mg . Try that dose first or go by the lbs of the child on the label compared to the lbs of your boxer.

I dont know about tyenol but I know aspiren is ok for dogs but it will kill a cat very quickly. Make sure to give your boxer only 1 and preferable the orange ones with the coating on it, less likely to upset their stomachs. Why does you boxer need it? i give aspiren to my rottweiler in the winter for her aches and pains from hip dysplasia. If it is something more serious then pains or old age see a vet. My vet is the one that said aspiren is OK for dogs. but never said anything about tyenol

YES!! All of these people are wrong. You can give your dog Tylenol but it should be regular tylenol NOT extra strength. The dose is 1 tablet per 30pounds of body weight. but do not give more than 2 tablets. you can do this every 8-10 hours. I have been a vet tech for 8 years and we tell our clients the very same thing.

No, it can be very dangerous to give your dog human Tylenol. I give all my dog Canine buffered animal Chew ables, they are tasty and safe for dogs to take. I get all my pet supplies from the V-Store. Here is the link https://www.moreinfo247.com/9713975/Department.vstore and look under pet care. That is the only thing that will work for my dogs.

No, no, no. Very toxic to dogs. Here is a site to give you the correct dosage for buffered aspirins for your dog or call a vet for pain medication. Just wondering, why does your dog need Tylenol? http://animalsunlimited.net/meds.htm

No! It can kill your dog. Dogs cannot process human medications in the same way humans do. If your dog is in pain call/go to your vet.
