Whatever company buys them (and someone would) would buy the liabilities also. Warranties are considerd liablilities.

Ford, while in financial straits, isn't about to go broke. Ford, like all car makers, makes some real crap, and makes some real decent stuff.
Frankly, I'd be more concerned with GM hitting the skids than I would be Ford. Ford is, at least, making changes to try to turn around its slump. GM carries on like it's still King of the Road, and lumbers along like nothing is wrong.

Hate to burst your bubble but Ford will not go bankrupt.It would be sold before it went bankrupt,anyway with 23 billion cash on hand and 50 billion in negotiable assets they have a lot of wiggle room.If Hyundia keeps building those low quality vehicles they will be going bankrupt soon.

All companies have honor all warranties for the stated period and make replacement parts for 10 years after production date

wtg Bryan, There is no way for is going broke , However is all these people would stop buying all those foreign cars the American people would have more jobs and a better income , For when cars go over seas the economy goes down , I just keep seeing all those jap zeros crashing in to our ships and the Mitsubishi engine in them.
