My daughter was dumped by her boyfriend as he went to Ireland and now he is back and thinks that he can continue with her. He never even tried to write her or keep the contact with her. She has moved on and is with a really nice guy. What should she do. Tell the old one to get lost or still talk to him.

I agree, she should talk to the old one, hugabye... she should start with those three words we all know well. "Get lost, jerk!"

She's lucky to have found a nice guy. Tell her to wake up and not let a keeper get away.

Tell the old one to get lost!!! He obviously does not care about her or her feelings. He just wanted to be free in Ireland just in case he got lucky and wouldn't have to feel guilty about it. He sounds very self centered if you ask me. If the guy she is with now is good to her and cares for her she need to stick with him. This other boy sounds like a looser and one that would play games just to get what he wants. That's no kind of relationship to have. I would tell her to tell the old one to get lost he had his chance and blew it. But that's just my opinion :)

I think that your daughter should tell the old guy to move on just as she has moved on.

Someone still isn't over the old love. Is she contemplating going back with the jerk, or she is into the relationship she has now?

She should move on. It should be a complete break, that is easier. Drawing it out only cause more pain.
