I've been to several dermatologists and they've given me creams and antibiotics. This has helped the breakouts on my face but not on my back. What's up with that?

Also the skin on your back is thicker and the dead skin cells are not scrubbed off as often as your face. This also makes it more prone to scaring.

Because its harder to spread on your back and that your clothing always have dirt or some dirt in it and it touches your back, irritating the acne more

if you think about it, in the shower its kind of hard to reach your back, but your face is right there
try using a long handled scrub brush to wash your back
also, don't use leave in conditioner because it can get on your back and cause back acne

Because it is harder to reach ~ to wash, to put the topical medication on it.

Try changing your sleep garments every night or sleeping on a clean sheet every night. That way you aren't transfering the bacteria back to your back every night. I'd also change my pillow case too.

Your back rubs up against your clothing all day, and it comes into contact with sweat and dirt. It's also harder to wash your back.
