slowly at first, with a "God loves you" here & there, then a prayer before each meal, and continuing to rachet it up to broad claims about His divine plan and how the others were abject sinners in need of salvation.

Had that happened, how many episodes/years would it have been until someone was killed, either "directed by God" or to silence the annoying evangelist?

Hey, while were Talking bout' Deserted Islands:

There was this man, who got ship-wrecked on an Island. All by his lonesome.

Years Later, another Ship came by and Rescued him.
There were Three Huts that the man built.
One of the Rescuers Asked the Survivor "what are those Three Huts?".
The Survivor replied " well, the First one is my Home---the Second one is the Churh I Attended. The Third one is the Church I USED to Attend.

See?

Apparently,...
You've forgotten abut the episode where Mr. Howell faked his death because he thought the rest of the castaways were out to kill him, - as he had recently bequeathed some of his riches to them in his will...

At Mr. Howell's funeral, the Skipper (who was presiding over the ritual), at one point, presumably makes a reference to Heaven when he points to the sky and assures Mrs. Howell that he's sure that "he's somewhere up there" (made funnier by the fact that the Skipper had unknowingly pointed his finger at Mr. Howell, - who was hiding in a nearby tree)...

If I thought about it hard enough, I could probably come up with a few others but, then again, - is anyone really that interested?...:-))

You are a little pessimistic. You know people believe in God at churches, and there is very little murder going on in them.
