First of all, I can't believe we're still having this argument. We now know that thunderstorms are not "angels bowling..." don't we?

But anyway--please, explain this:

God is said to disapprove of homosexuals, says it's a terrible nasty sin, and therefore who could be surprised when religious leaders first pointed to AIDS as God's wrath.

But according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, "To date, there are no confirmed cases of female-to-female sexual transmission of HIV in the United States database (K. McDavid, CDC, oral communication, March 2005)."

They don't claim it is impossible of course. But lesbians suffer from AIDS and venereal disease in general much less often than gay men.

Could this be because diseases are caused by GERMS? (Or should we not believe in germs, since they weren't mentioned in the Bible as part of God's creation?)

(Gasp) Does God LOVE Lesbians??

I love lesbians, does this count?

BTW nowhere in any major religion, except Judaism, is lesbianism bad. In Judaism it's only a minor sin.

Disease is Gods' punishment, right. That's insane. And some people believe that mental illness is demonic possession. More examples of primitive and backwards thinking. It's depressing that there are still people who live in the dark ages.

Actually, if you read the Bible, every time homosexuality is condemned, it specifically mentions male homosexuality. Lesbians are never discussed in the Bible. Funny that.

It also doesn't explain why young hemopheliacs would the most infected population when AIDS was first discovered, or the fact that millions of babies in Africa are born with Aids, or the fact that wives are infected by their husbands, who were not monogamous. I guess God also hates hemopheliacs, Africans and wives too.

Diseases are caused by thousands of things. females may not come in contact with AID's but that doesn't rule out herpes and other STD's. There are consequences to sin. Yes, God loves everybody.

As a christian, the only people I've ever heard blame diseases as being a punishment from God are bashers, trolls and hatemongers. Which are you? Nevermind, not worth the effort. A hater is a hater, not much anyone can do to help you with that as long as you're wallowing in it.

***applauds***
Amen......

God loves everyone. diseases are caused by germs.
Guess what? There are indeed Christians who believe in Science and still believe in God.

Some of us believe in evolution. Some of us believe that some of the stories in the Bible are allegorical.
(such as Daniel in the lion's den and Jonah in the belly of the big fish)

All sin is equal in God's eyes, so if he is going to stike the homosexuals dead, then he would do the same to liars and thieves.
