A mass murderer is standing trial and it comes down to sentencing... The judge proclaims "Your sentence should be death, however you are good friends with my son, so why don't you come stay at our place... we have a pool, and servants... you can eat our food too if you like?"

Is this a just judge? Does it sound like another "judge" you may have heard of?

A mass murderer is standing trial and it comes down to sentencing... The judge proclaims "Your sentence should be death, however my Son has decided to die in your place and pay your penalty for you"

If you are truly sorry for what you did and want to turn away from your evil ways and start doing good instead then when this life is over why don't you come stay at our place... we have a pool, and servants... you can eat our food too if you like?" would be more like it.

Why don't you quit your bickering and whining and start living God's way and then you won't have to worry who gets into heaven before you do? Secondly, do you want to know just how merciful the Lord is? You and other non-believer's are allowed to continue breathing, even though you love to be an offense to Him every time you open your mouths. As far as "just" is concerned, if you don't straighten up and fly right you will get to taste firsthand God's righteous justice!

It's not about good friends. Jesus took the mans penalty. You can't serve justice twice for the same crime to 2 different people.

no, thats not a judge. a true judge would follow through with the law. He will do what he is appointed to do.
