Can homosexuels become true christians?

In my church small group we were having a discustion and my small group leader always gives us a weekly question. Can homosexuels become true christians? (I don't know) What do you think? anwser yes or no and give a reason.

is it in the bible that homosexuelaity is wrong and in genisis god made man and woman together so man and woman wernt ment to be homosexuel?

Can you be a true Christian while ignoring "Love thy neighbor as thyself" or "Judge not lest ye be judged". I would ask your group leader or a leader of the church their feelings. If they say homosexuals cannot be true Christians, I would walk away and not look back. But that's just me.
If they give you a Bible verse to show homosexuality is a sin, I would ask them why the Bible is not used to condemn interracial marriage or condone slavery as it once was.

Answer: Yes they can for there is no big or small sin, sin is sin.
The Word of God says that if you confess your sin He is faithful in just to forgive your sins and bring you in right standing with God again.

For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.

Homosexuals believes a lie and the best way that you can get them to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior is to accept them, hate the sin and love them. You do what you can and God will do what he has promised.
take care, there is hope for all even homosexuals. If God could save me then there is definitely hope for them.

Yes, many have become Priests!!! Fact is, we are all sinners in one way or another according to the Bible. There is not one christian that can say they have never commited a sin. Next time you go to group take a look around and ask yourself "Are any of these people surrounding me free from sin?" Also, if you believe in God and the Bible then this should be left up to God to decide...not you and your little group discussion. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

No they cannot become true Christians Unless they turn away from it. Yes it is in the bible, remember the story of Sodom and Gomorrah? Well that was why the city was destroyed, God sent fire down from Heaven and destroyed it. So anyone who actually believes they can live with and have sex with someone of the same sex is badly mistaken. They MUST turn away from it as God sees it as a Sin...
If God wanted man kind to be homosexuals then he would have created TWO Adams or TWO Eves....
So the answer is NO.........Unless they turn from their evil ways and follow God by obeying Gods Rules.....

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

And how do we know when someone is willing to come to the one and only Son?

Will they come to the light? Are they led to the light by the will of the Father? Whosoever wills may come.

How many sins are condemned by God, and how many of those are covered by the blood of Jesus?

I need to preface this by saying IN MY OPINION...you're making an assumption that homosexuality is a choice. You were born liking what you like, and so were they. Many homosexuals knew from the age of 2 and on that they were just "different" than other people; they couldn't be an abberration if God made them. If someone has the spirit in their heart, and does their best to live by the tennants of Christianity, yes, they are true Christians and will be saved.

One miss guided soul wrote "can obese people be true Christians ? given that gluttony is a sin " I can quote chapter and verse showing that Homosexuality is condemned of God and therefore sin (Romans 1:26-27).. . Sure. All Christians have at least a measure of sin and some even more. Many Christians have a particular excess that dogs them and others have spur of the moment reactions to lust or anger that may cause them to sin. Their are sins of neglect. It is important for the homosexual, however to believe that it is a sinful act, like we all must likewise in our lives with our sins. I don't believe a true Christian heart would live in this sin without shame. But no more shame than we must all take toward Jesus, our only hope.

Some of the Corinthian Christians were former homosexuals. Of course they repented from their homosexuality. So yes they can become Christians if they stop practicing homosexual behavior.

The thing about the Lord Jesus is that He died for the sins of the whole world. If a homosexual believes in His heart that Jesus is the Son of God and that he died for our sin, and that through this One he has eternal life. If he repents of his sins and turns to the Lord by calling upon His name.. then Yes. this one is genuinely regenerated.

This brothers' regeneration, the enlivening of his deadened spirit by the Life of God is the FIRST step. The process of transformation in this brother will be a long one. For all of us it is difficult, and satan works very hard to attack the minds of our brothers having a past in homosexuality night and day. For our brothers to have a way to grow in the Lord they cannot forsake reading the word to renew their minds day by day. The Lord has saved this brother eternally but the daily working out of God's salvation inwardly takes the renewing and the slow transformation work of the Holy Spirit in the soul of this brother.
The Lord in us is greater than he who is in the world. And the Lord is faithful to finish what He has begun in the brothers with this past.
Having a healthy practice to-
-Read the word to feed and nourish your spirit
-Renew the mind by putting in the words of Life in the bible into it.
-Confessing our sins and not letting thoughts that are of the past infest and take root in the mind.. take the Blood to cleanse fully
-Not being lead into temptation.. meaning that you refrain from going into a homosexual environment until you have matured more in the christian life.. and any contact should be with other believers to minister the gospel to any friends or aquaintances that he has a heart to share the gospel to.
-Be in some kind of bible study to be sharpened and equipped in the word
-Be in the prayer meetings.. do not forsake the gathering of the brothers and sisters in fellowship
-Keeping a healthy relationship with the Lord each day.

May the Lord rescue many out of this kind of sin. And be restored back to the Position as a man under the Leading of God.
Man's position is crucial to God in His Governmental order.
