I was searching around on the internet for a new digital camera. And i've found two that i can't really choose between.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3
Canon Powershot A630

I've read reviews on both, most of which sounded good, but there is a thing or two about each camera that I don't like.

Panasonic probably wouldn't work well in low light [at least thats what i heard] and I usually take photos indoors so that could be a problem.

Canon a-series cameras seem to have a problem with redeye. And i'm no good at editing photos to get them out, so that'd be a majorly bad problem. [but its all hearsay from reviews, so i dont know if its true or not]

Can someone tell me which one they think would be better? [and just dont pick one because you like the brand] I really don't want to waste my money on something that wont work.

I would definitely go with Canon, I have a powershot A530 and I think it is an awesome camera. It does have a problem with red eye but it is easily taken care of.

The TZ3 is a great choice.
More zoom
Higher ISO for natural light
Faster frames per second (faster camera between shots)
and a better LCD screen

Canon makes good cameras, so the 630 is not a bad choice.

Note that the Panasonic is at least $100 more which is substantial. Good things going for the Panasonic are its optical image stabilization, large 3" LCD, and smaller body size compared to A630. For the Canon it's significantly cheaper, has renown image quality, uses standard AA batteries. Negatives are that it's bigger in size and it doesn't have image stabilization.

You be the judge. What do you prefer. Read the reviews and base your decisions on the recommendations. Also if something comes up often in the reviews it's most likely true.
