OK Balaam. Ill give you one more answer. To leave the evidence that he did indeed destroy the earth. Seashells on Mt. Everest! And still, despite all the evidence of the flood(oil, coal, fossils, grand canyon, and etc) some will not only not believe ,but will mock and scoff.

2 Peter 3:3-6 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

Ask your donkey, he knows the truth. Come to Christ

When God created the earth He made everything perfect. There was no sin, no death, no pain, no suffering, no fighting, even the atmosphere was different from now. But everything changed when Adam and Eve disobeyed God after they were tempted by Satan. After they disobeyed, God put a curse on the earth. By the time of Noah, the earth had become sooo sinful: Genesis 6:5-8 'The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them." But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.'

He did it because man turned evil to the extreme. Noah being the only blameless person at the time, G-d chose him to continue mankind. G-d told Noah 150 years before the flood that the flood would happen so Noah warned people but no one listened the entire 150 years. This is from Midrash writings.

Does anyone ever call you a smart donkey? ;)

He destroyed the world with a flood because they were wicked.

God didn't make a mistake, people did, and do.
