Not really. How can you claim something as yours, without having planted the seed and nurtured it, giving it water when dry, nursing to health when wracked with poison, and knowing it will still grow larger, and bear fruit of it's own?
You may only lay claim to that you have sown.

Sure! And I really hate to quote the Bible, because I think it is done too much here, but take look at the story of Job, who did nothing to deserve what God did to him. He was just part of a test of good and evil. But in the long run he was rewarded for his role in that test. A classic story of reaping what you did not sow.

Sowing suggests an act for which we are responsible, and reaping would be the end result. But we are all vulnerable to the free will of others as well as ourselves.

Sure its possible to reap what you do not sow. Everyone who is born into a rich family, wins the lottery, or otherwise succeeds through chance doesn't really have to work to get what they have.

Yes, and i am speaking from the Roman Catholic point of view. A classic example is the Sacrament of Baptism. Every Roman Catholic must take this Sacrament of Baptism in order to "wash away" (read: to be forgiven from) the sins committed by our forefathers known as the "Original Sin".
Though i personally did not commit such a sin but i still have to reap the fruits that which sown by my great great forefathers...

Sometimes we reap the sowings of our ancestors.
Sometimes in blessings, sometimes in curses.
