I have read here on Y!A that "God wouldn't condemn what He created. He would never make what He calls an abomination."
One in 1,666 births, according to the intersex society of north america ( http://www.isna.org/faq/frequency ), do not have XX or XY chromosomes.
What of these folk... they are neither male or female. May they know love and marry? Are they, just as they were made, an abomination?

God is love: Just because some normal folk never know love isn't a reason to deny those with "birth defects".

In a previous answer, we are told to blame Satan and Adam for this condition. Why are people, untainted, pure, actual fetuses, punished for something Adam did?! Btw, I would never call these people abominations, just misunderstood by society and sadly forced to live in a world full of bigotry and stereotypes.

I don`t want to fall in religion things, but some scientists claims that this phenomenon, happens when a generation is getting too much mutations materials, so therefore, they are made not to be capable of reproduction. In other words, those persons are supposed to represent a next step in evolution of mankind, but happen too early to reproduced...
Anyway, interesting thing... As for religion related explanations, I should say that those could happen to be neutral beings, in the way that they can`t interfere with the bad nor the good, so they can`t just procreate either beings. I guess it could be logical that if paradise exist, and hell a neutral entity should also have a chance to exist, but since it doesn`t interfere it is not mentioned anywhere...
I like those games of the minds... ;)

God created the first bodies, but our bodies are imperfect bodies.. which is why we have to eat, sleep, etc. Part of our purpose here is to overcome these bodily imperfections and do what we are supposed to do here.
No one God creates is an abomination. Those people are going to show dominance towards on sex or the other.. in hormones, in thoughts etc. and with medical technology, can be made to be physically "normal"
but by no means would God consider them an abomination. I truely belive that people who are born with such challenges have been given a special trust by God.. a trust that they can be faithful and over come it... He never gives us more than we can handle.. and he doesn't give us any challenge without providing us a way to overcome it

Nothing is an abomination to God, every human life is sacred.
God does no condemning of man only of actions.
God does not send people to hell, people chose to be eternally separated from God.
As far as to why these things happen, many Christian philosophers have their answers and although they are very sensitive and well thought out I'm sure it does nothing for those affected.
But God put us here, to love one another, and it is our job to hold things together until his return.
Thanks for the sobering question. May God be with you and in the hearts of those most in need of him.
www.rzim.org is Christian website that's very compassionate on issues of suffering, and tries to help in making some sense of it.

God doesn't judge us by what we are, but by what we DO. It is by our fruits that we are known.
If you wanted to steal, commit adultery, commit murder, and you don't, it is not a sin to be tempted, it is a sin when we do what is a sin.
A man who had a sex change operation came to know Jesus. He now serves God as a eunuch.
The Bible says there are eunuchs.
He doesn't call people abominations, but he calls homosexuality an abomination, which means disgusting to him.

God works in mysterious ways - so mysteriously that it's as if he isn't there at all. This same God seems to produce other abominations, such as conjoined twins and spina bifida. Please note that the people are not abominations in my opinion, but the defects certainly are.

I don't know why He created them either. Maybe it was a mishap we've done to ourselves over time. But I truly believe that He would never turn his back on his children. So they have both sexes. He still loves them, and they are welcome in Heaven just like everyone else. People condemn people. God does not.

No, no one is an abomination. They were created that way for a reason. We may not know the reason, but there is a reson for everything.
