I'd recommend (if ur weak) a springer as a sidearm. They rarely fail u, and need no batteries or CO2. They are lightweight, and sometimes high-cap. The Mk.23 SOCOM at amazon.com is pretty good. However, Shotguns tend to be a bit unwieldy and gets in the way a lot cuz of their size. get a small compact stock-less one if u really want to, and try to get a high-cap one though. Amazon.com has good cheap reliable high-fps spring shotguns.
gas pistols are amazing. combo of high fps, rugged construction, and rapid rate of fire makes this one of the most popular sidearms. I usually use one in any scenario. However, they dont work well in cold situations. The Co2 cartridges dont run out that often. I'd recommend getting one at shortyusa or walmart or pyramidair. One bad con is that not many are high-cap. Also, they tend to be expensive, starting at usually around $40 for even the most basic and cheap ones.
Don't get aeg sidearms. they suck. I know what im talking about.
Accesories - try to get at least two clips for it (dont need much), no scope is needed, no fancy-shmancy laser or flashlight or silencer is needed, either. it makes quick drawing difficult and jams in your pocket/holster a lot. natural is the way to go!
Just get a scope for your m4a1 and a high-cap mag.
hope this helped.

I'd suggest a gas pistol over anything spring powered. If you have a local field or group you play with, ask around and try out a few different pistols and see what you like. See if you prefer blow back or non-blow back. I personally like blow back guns. Good brands to stick with are KSC, KWA, KWC, and WE-Tech ( prices range from $100-$150 new, but used they can be found cheaper). I like the WE-tech Hi-Capas, but the are prone to being high maintenance and the mags are on the large side, making it hard to find good-fitting mag pouches. If you are on a budget, UHC and HFC also makes decent non-blow back ( and the occasional blow back) guns for the under $50 range. You lose a few features in the $50 range, such as adjustable hop-up and full metal construction. Not that all plastic guns are weak. My old KJW Mk23 is all plastic and it survived a ten foot fall (landed in grass, but still). Getting a couple of extra mags is always good (two thing you can never have enough of, ammo and money), but not 100% neccessary right away. In most games you'll never even draw your pistol, as that M4A1 is very, very versital (I have 2 myself).

Anything that has a good battery operated system will give you plenty of power and distance. Plus, if the air-soft has a steel barrel, all the better(plastic ones tend to burst or shatter rather more often than the manufacturers would have you know.). Getting one of the Smith & Wesson versions is good. I myself got one of the Sigma serie's ones before they stopped making them. Although like a REAL Sigma, it doesn't have the intergrated light rail, it DOES have great accuracy just like the real pistol, which I have several of too.

Airmag C11 by crossman its powed by Co2 and goes 400 fps you can buy it for about $36.00 + at walmart. But i wouldn't reccomend buyin guns at walmart cuz i bought two different brand and they all broke, exept for the bbs. You should buy it at Dick's sporting goods. Or any sporting goods
