Vacuum one way valve either on the manifold or vacuum hose leaking at the heater controls after the new sterio was installed.

it probably has a vacuum hose bad in it ,causing it to loose vacuum when you accelerate it,if that's the only time it does it, id look for a bad hose around the intake ,or on the back of the main control unit for the heat and air controls,its also possible the inside control unit is bad ,and that to will cause it,good luck on it.

Yep the vents are controlled by vacuum.... you have a loose or leaking vacuum line on the actuators that control the vent doors.
