Not all Christians take a literal view of Revelation. However, from looking at the answers on this section I am aware that there are some people who not only think the apocalypse is imminent, but can hardly wait.

Most projections of the Biblical Apocalypse have the majority of the world's population suffering great torment - often forever. Who in their right mind would look forward to that? Even if they thought their own lives were going to be all roses when it happened?

Are you really hoping for a time when most people are experiencing unbearable punishment? Can anybody who seriously answers yes be living a moral life on earth?

No believer desires the suffering of anyone. What I am is a woman who is getting older and is very tired. I look forward to being relieved of this earthly body and in a place where I will never be exhausted, angry, spiteful, jealous, petty, mean, sinful, and every other sin known to woman.....ever again.

You either believe what God's Word plainly says, or you make up something that makes you feel better in the life style you have chosen. I do not wish that people will suffer torment, I just believe the Bible when it says they will. I believe that Jesus Christ is coming back, but I don't know when, but in the meantime, I'm trying to convince as many as I can to truly accept the Lord as their personal Savior, and then it won't matter when the Apocalypse happens, because we( and I hope you)
will be ready.

Why would you care what anyone is anticipating? What difference does make to you or me? Nothing.

There have been "end timers" all though out history and we are still here, so far.

I don't think anyone wishes pain onto others literally, at least, not the Christians that I know. And yes, they are living a moral life, probably more moral then most people. Fear is the greatest motivator there is or ever will be. Fear of the wrath of God, is the single biggest fear many people face in their entire lives. And to not be moral would drive them crazy with fear.

I'm not looking forward to it...in fact, I hope to be gone before it happens. ...but I do believe it is inevitable that it will happen...and I believe that it will hearld the arrival of God's new heaven and new earth...I think that will be pretty cool and I guess I'm looking forward to it. As for the apocalypse, I would spend my life praying that it would never happen if I thought it would do any good...in a way I do when I pray that the world will come to Christ...he is the only way for mankind to avoid the consequencs of sin!

First of all, listening to people who have no idea of what they're talking about is not the way to get an accurate understanding of Armageddon. Armageddon is God's righteous war on an unrighteous world. God's Son, Jesus Christ, is going to rid this earth of all wickedness, all governments, all false religion, the whole commercial empire, all wicked people. Only those serving God with a pure heart will survive. Those who God has judged as wicked will be removed from the earth, they will go into everlasting destruction, they will become nonexistent. No eternal suffering.

I do not look forward to the time when others will suffer and that is why I reach out. I wish to see no one there at all, but people don't listen.

To answer your question, i do believe but am not looking that forward to it, because it will be the last chance that anyone has and many will not make it.

Those are my thoughts on the subject.

Well, I don't want to die right now, but if the Apocalypse come, so be it, if those people suffer, well, I hate it, but they had their chance and they blew it. Its not my choice who goes to heaven or hell, God is the only one who can make that decision. The road to destruction is wide and many will go through it, like the majority of the world, but the road of the Lord is narrow and few will go through it. If you believe in Him you shall be saved, but if not, well, it was your decision not to believe, right?

Jehovah commands that we HATE what is bad, I want wickedness gone. People are suffering unspeakable atrocities TODAY, and YESTERDAY! Ever hear of the holocaust?
I sat on a bus today and listened to a story about a woman in my neighborhood who delivered her FIFTH "crackbaby" 10 weeks early WHILE she was "doing" her dealer.
I want wickedness done away with, oh yeah, why don't you?

Why else do you think that true Christians work so hard to help wake up the sleeping masses? But since you don't believe in the Bible, I'm sure nothing will happen to you since your reality is determined by your opinions?? Anyways, once we are taken from this earth, it will be out of sight and out of mind.

Pastor Justin--what book do you study and what systematic Theology have you studies. If it is hypothetical--what does it mean in relation to the church. Enlighten us on "end-time"
If there is one

How is it possible to account for my relationship to God by you. YOU CAN'T. Nor can I judge you.
