When filing electronically, it should only take 8-15 days to get refund electronically deposited into a bank account. If filing by paper, it could take up to 6 weeks to get a refund. Go to www.irs.gov and click on "where's my refund?". After putting in personal information, it will let you know if they received it, if it's in processing, or when to expect the refund. If no information, call 1-800-829-1040. They'll let you know what to do.

The two most common problems with refunds not received after a couple of months is 1. The tax payer owes something to the government and they have stopped your return to collect their money 2. The IRS never got your return in the first place.

In either case call the IRS

Your refund? If you filed more than a couple months ago, call the IRS and ask them. You could check irs.gov "where's my refund", but if you don't get your info there, call the IRS and ask.
