I notice that alot of voted for, "best answers" are picked for david g. One of my most recent questions were left to vote. If you care to read it, it is the "thumbs down" question. It is obvious to me, that the only reason that david g. is top answerer, is because of the Jeff Gordon Rules, that he puts on his answers. Yes, I know that Gordon is popular, but c'mon people. This is not meant to dog david at all. Sometimes his answers truly are the best, yet in a lot of cases, there are better answers. For example, the way he answered my question, did not even answer my question at all. david g. implied, in his answer, that "when you start saying that about someones driver you get a lot of people mad". At no time did I say anything bad, or good for that matter, about any driver in perticuler. People need to read the answers and not just go with the one that says "Jeff Gordon Rules", just because they are a Gordon fans.
Nothing personal david, just my opinion. I do enjoy readin

I have to agree with 24DupontWatcher. david does give very respectable answers and does not bash anyone. I do give him the credit for that.

Wow! I'm really shocked that so many of you are bashing David G or leading our new members to believe he's a cheater.
Here is my humble opinion.

#1 I'm going to agree with Miami fan in that some of the Best Answers David gets voted on are not in fact the best answer. And I personally have discussed this (via email) with David and he was the first to admit this was true as well.

#2 Is this DavidG's doing? NO, he ALWAYS has put "Jeff Gordon Rules" as his source, he has from day 1 that I started on here and has never stopped. The fact that people are voteing for him is in no way in his control either. You mean to tell me if I wanted to be the Best Answerer in here all I have to do is put Dale Jr Rules as my source and all you Jr fans are going to vote for me? It's that simple, well shoot then why not! Hey for all you Harvick, Bowyer and Kenseth fans, go for it do it too and from now on screw it, we won't even read the other answers we'll just know who to vote for! Hmmmmmmm wait what if there's 4 or 5 people in one question who have Dale Jr Rules as their source, shoot which one will I know to give the best answer to? Do you all see how rediculous this is?
YOU ASK THE QUESTIONS AND IT"S ALL OF YOU WHO ARE CHOOSING HIM AS YOUR BEST ANSWERER!!!

So are you all just magically hypnotized by his avatar or something?

For those of you even slightly thinking he's cheating, he's not, he doesn't even care about the "Best Answerer" Title, that's why I'm constantly teasing him about it and calling him "King David" because he himself has told me he wishes people would stop voting for him just because. But like Dupy said, he is the MOST RESPECTABLE ANSWERER and sometimes when you ask a simple question and you get a sea of hateful answers you can always count on DavidG to give a neutral and respectable answer!

#3 I agree people need to read the answers all the way through and pick the most intelligent, well thought out answer.

I dont know or care anything about david g or nascar but this is an interesting statment not question.
Ive asked a question about a movie remake of Bullitt with steve McQueen 3 times and cant get more than 1 person to answer in the 3 days. The person who is getting the 1 vote isnt even answering the question. I keep posting the same question because I do want an answer. If somebody will give me the clues to get people to answer my Questions it would be great. Maybe im putting it in the wrong catagory? I put it again in Celebs, Maybe I should have put it in something to do with cars since the movie co-stars a mustang.

David G is the best! He knows how to pick a driver and he's a true fan to NASCAR!

Maybe yes, maybe no

It's not like you're gaining anything by getting best answers on Y!/A - you get points. What good are those points? Can you redeem them someplace? No. I don't see what the big deal is I guess. Not condoning it if it is happening, just sayin'
David G. generally gives legitimate, informative answers. He's not insulting like several others. The Jeff Gordon Rules at the bottom is his "signature"...although I can see how that would be an advantage to anyone looking for his answer to vote for, I still don't see how it really matters. Not like every other Gordon fan can't do the same thing, write Jeff Gordon Rules at the bottom...for that matter, everyone can do it...just pick your driver.
So if this is really the case, the problem in my opinion lies with Yahoo - maybe they shouldn't let you vote on your own answers...you can't give yourself a thumbs up, why can you vote for your own answer?
As a side note, I vote for my Husband's answers too if I think he has the best one...why wouldn't I?
~Done rambling

If you are really that concerned about it why don't YOU pick the answer that you feel best explains what you were getting at. At least there's only 1 of him and he doesn't need to create 20 accounts to have his other IDs vote him as best answer!

I think as long as the answer is informative polite and fun, then its anyones vote, I do agree that because of like for a particular driver is no reason to vote though...No problems with DavidG, hes great

Well !!! I certainly enjoyed reading this post ! I just wanted to say that despite your opinions of my husband. The truth is that at my house believe me "JEFF GORDON RULES !!" and "THE DRIVE FOR FIVE IS STILL ALIVE" also David G spends his evening's explaining to me what all of you participants do all day on y/a while answering yet more questions here; while I do wifey things ( like cook clean etc...)Furthermore our weekends usually consist of qualifying on Friday nights ( so were unable to do other stuff ) Saturday he works his other job ;comes home and dies from exhaustion SUNDAY ( race day need I say More ). I can wholeheartedly attest to the fact that his life is consumed by Jeff Gordon ( and me and his children ) and y/a TRUST me his answers are genuine heartfelt and truly his opinion. PLEASE UNDERSTAND I TOO LIKE NASCAR AND AM A JIMMIE JOHNSON FAN ( HE RULES !!!! ) To BASH my beloved husband for his other most precious passion is simply imperious. Miami-fan I read that this wasn't personal but I wanted to express to your other posters just how much of a Jeff Gordan Fan he really is sorry to ramble. Besides if you ALL simply didn't hate. My husbands opinion would not bother you this much.

If your takihng the time to write a response at least answer the question asked. I agree alot of it seems like a popularity draw. Make sure you read others answers and remember to give a thumbs up or thumbs down that way the best answer really wins!!!!
