I think it was rude to make a joke of death or that you are waiting for the mother who gave birth to your wife to die. Why are mothers/women so disrespected in the west? Why is it funny for a mother to give her utmost love to her child to die? Did you kow these type of jokes in Islam are forbidden as mothers are given the highest amount of respect and esteem even more so than the wife and or children since it is the mother who will ALWAYS love you even if the WHOLE entire world hates you.
