It's all due to wonderful genes. Some girls are just really small and others are a bit larger, a lot of it has to due with bone structure and metabolism rates. Stop comparing yourself to other people. Look in the mirror and learn to be happy with your own body. As long as you think you look good, you are okay. And your doctor is right, if you do start losing too much weight, you won't look good, you will look very sick. It's better to be a bit larger and look healthy than to look guant and like you have an eating problem.

Meh, I mean it happens. I naturally have a very skinny lanky frame and I hate it. I try to bulk up so bad but my body just doesn't want to add weight. I've gone through a period where I didn't eat or exercise for like 9 months just to see if I could add on the pounds and I ended gaining like 10 lbs which I shed in like 3 weeks. I mean this may should great for some people but I hate being skinny and lanky.

all people, even if they are the same size, are different BUILDS. you probably have a stockier build than some of the girls your size, that you're thinking you'd like to look like.
instead of worrying about how much you weigh, why not try gaining more muscle, which will help you slim down, though you will gain weight, since muscle weighs more than fat.
basically, you sound like a very healthy weight. i'm 5'3" and i weigh 122lbs. but i've also been working out a lot, so i've gained weight.
hope this helped

First of all it's not about weight. I've been going to the gym for the past 7 years constantly, and doing alot of sports, and I have gained weight. This weight is muscle but my waiste size has remained the same, even though my face has gotten thinner. So if you work out you may not lose much weight. Anyway. Your doctor is only looking out for you. You should have an improved image of yourself.

I know eh? I;m 5'3'' and 112 pounds. I don't think this looks good erally, another ten pounds would be ALOT better. But if i were to be 100 pounds, i would be in the uhealthy weight catagory for my height. I so know what you mean, but i'm still aiming for 100. Not suggesting you aim for a lower weight though, that's just me. I'm sure you look great!

you should be focusing on maintaining a healthy body fat % and not just a certain amount of "weight" on the scale.
the BMI is absolutely useless for those that are not obese as it does not determine the amounts of muscle mass or body fat that a person has. there are plenty of people out there with low BMI and very, very high percentages of body fat

Geez . Bummer.
Oh well, time to get used to who You are.
If you are framed with a large skeleton, you are never going to be 110 lbs.
I know with me frame I will never ever be below 200 lbs. You just gotta deal with it. It's the hand you have been dealt. Make it work for you.

Why would you hate your doctor? He didn't give you the genes you were born with. He's trying to keep you healthy. Do you generally hate people who tell you the truth? Would you like him if he lied to you?
