So I hit my friends car and he told me to tell the insurance company someone hit me in a parking lot. If I do that and the insurance company inspects it, will they be able to tell that I hit someone instead of someone hitting me?

Yes. Plus, insurance fraud is punishable with fines and/or jail time. Field adjuster's look at so many cars every week they get an eye for it. They look at paint transfer, location of damage on the vehicle, and also consider the details of the accident in order to complete their investigation. They're not just going to do an estimate for you car, they're going to validate your story as well. Do what you like, I hope you have piece of mind in the end.

Wow sweetie- you may want to get new friends. They are suggesting you commit serious FRAUD.

Sure, you may get away with it. But what if you dont? Is having your criminal record tainted and possible legal consequences worth saving a few bucks?

INsurance companies have entire teams devoted to finding people like you. Is it worth the risk? All you need to do is slip up on your story one time and its over..

Oh, yes. You're playing with insurance fraud. That would result in arrest, fine or imprisonment., cancellation of insurance, for the both of you.
Remember, their people do this for a
living. They can almost smell fraud.
