That are meant not to ridicule christian faith but to hopefully teach people by them researching what is contained in the question instead of relying on preconceived notions that may or may not be the actual truth?

I think that's a great reason to post a questions. I don't think christians understand that many atheists are trying to "save" the christians as much as the chrisitans are trying to "save" the atheists. The bible is full of narrow mindedness, bigotry and hate. Anyone who goes to far down that path is in danger in this life and the next.

As long as a question is asked in a respectful manner and without bias (at least as much as possible), I try to answer in the same way. All others are fair game and may receive potshots from me depending on whether I feel like shooting them down or not. ;O)

I try to give thorough answers citing sources and or cutting and pasting. But someone just complained about that. We wouldn't want to really answer the question would we? What if the answer made too much sense?
