Water aerobics is fantastic, especially if you have tender joints ( knees, hips etc) as there is no shock to be absorbed because your not hitting the ground. Also, water is great since it has more resistance then just running alone.
As for working 'fast' I guess it just depends on you and your devotion! If you go 5 times a week for serious water aerobic sessions then yeah it should work pretty fast!

Water aerobics can provide more resistance than land aerobics, and increasing muscle mass means that you can burn more calories at rest than if you are less muscular. It is also much easier on your body overall because of the buoyancy of the water.

water aerobics is great. it's not as hard on your joints and the resistance of the water helps with toning. how fast it works depends on the individual.

Well--talk to your doctor to get his/her opinion on your present health--Then ask yourself about your actual state of fitness--if you are in moderate health and have been used to moving around a bit before getting pregnant then maybe you can try out a class and see how it goes--if you were totally not fit before getting pregnant, then I'd say that this is not the time to start a fitness program...Water exercises are ususally realxing adn don't put a strain on the body, so if you are in great shape and your doctor says it's okay--go for it!
