Jehovah, Lord, Allah, um.. and any other names for god, are all one and the same, I don't understand Jehovah but i'm pretty sure Allah is lord, as he is the only creator, Jews worship him as well as christians, as their lord and creator. So any one of you that Insults Allah is insulting their own lord. And jesus pbuh has admitted of being a prophet of god, nowhere in the bible does he say i am god. So what is your point if you insult Allah? His prophets came to guide us not for us to have war everywhere. My question is why do you insult your own lord?

He is Allah..(Allah is the Arabic word for One God Almighty)
The First: Nothing is before Him.
The Last: Nothing is After Him.
The Most High: Nothing is Above Him.
The Most Near: Nothing is beyond His Reach.
He Begets Not, Nor was He Begotten.
The Creator, Provider, and All-Rich.
The All-Seer, The All-Knower.
He is One and Self-Sufficient.
He is not Nature, or any part of it.
He ascended above His Throne, High above the Seven Skies.
No Vision can encompass Him, but
His Grasp is over all vision..

Such Is Allah
Nothing Is Like Unto Him
The All-Hear, The All-Seer

Jesus Christ is not merely a prophet, nor was he ever a prophet. He is the Son of the Living God. Mohammed may have been a self proclaimed prophet, but he took the religion that Ishmael was starting and changed it into one based on blood revenge. If a person was to live according to the teachings in the Koran, he/she would be a good living person. Isn't it ironic that all 3 faiths, the Jewish, the Moslem & the Christian faith , have their roots with Abraham ? Abraham's son by Sarah, Isaac, went on to become the head of the Jewish faith & Ishmael, Abraham's son by Hagar, Sarah's hand maiden went on to begin the Moslem faith, which was taken over by Mohammed & distorted . You are right, we all believe there is ONE God, we just call Him different things , and relate to Him through different teachings. We, the Christians are waiting for our Messiah to come back for His Church. The Orthodox Jews are still waiting for His first advent, and the Moslems are somewhere in between.
All the fighting between the Jews and the Moslems stems from Isaac & Ishmael. The fighting will not cease until Christ comes back and sets up His eternal Kingdom. I would never insult the name you call God. Some may, but that solves nothing. One of the major problems I see in all this terrorism, is the Extremist Imams who keep a lot of his followers uneducated , so they can't read the Koran for themselves, so they could see how Islam has been hijacked by the radicals. If the Moslems all lived by the Koran, things would be a lot better, and if Christians would live by what they claim to believe about a loving God, then we'd all get along much better. I DO GO ON !

From what I've been told, muslims don't believe allah can have a son, or put his spirit into a human body and allow that body to die. Jehovah did both. Therefore, it seems logical to believe Jehovah is not allah. Jesus was a prophet, but so much more. Why do you think the pharisees accused him of blasphemy? Because he was claiming to be a man? How is that blapshemy?

Mat 26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. 64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. 65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

I am a Christian and I do NOT insult Allah. I have no problem accepting the idea that we are worshipping the same God...the creator of the universe. I disagree with your belief that Jesus did not claim to be God...the four main eyewitness accounts written in the bible (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) all include quotes from Jesus that establish him as the son of God sent as a perfect sacrifice for sin not a mere prophet.

As the creator of the universe, he understands how his creation works. It wasn't a punishment when he said that the sons of Issac and the sons of Ishmael would battle until the end of time, he knew that the sins of the father, DO visit themselves upon the sons and that the sin of Abraham would cause his sons to fight until a final battle resulted in the destruction of the world!

The God I know loves his creation, he did not abandon Ishmael when Abraham sinned...my bible says that God established a covenant with the sons of Issac and with the sons of Ishmael. (and if you want to measure faithfulness by the blessings God has given each nation I think the Arab nations have been pretty faithful to follow the covenant he made with them). ...but none of this relates to me because I'm not a descendent of Issac or Ishmael...God had no covenant with my people until he sent Jesus.

Jesus said that he came for the forgiveness of sins...this included the sin of Abraham that created the separation between the sons of Abraham! Jesus offered a way out of that conflict through a new covenant available to the whole world...Love God and love one another.

Of course, being God, he also knew that some of his creation would not be able to accept his forgiveness and set aside the sins of the past to live in harmony with others. Do I think he would abandon them for failing to accept his forgiveness...that would NOT be consistent with his nature as revealed throughout the bible! Jesus said that blasphemy against him was a forgiveable sin (but that blasphemy against the holy spirit (of God) was not).

Is the Quran also the "word of God"...I would not presume to judge primarily because I have never read it. I accepted the forgiveness of Jesus and thus, I believe that God will not make me suffer through final consequences of Abraham's sin. From what I've heard on Yahoo! answers, the Quran includes many warnings related to the final battle and the end of the world...warnings designed to help it's followers (the son's of Ishmael and allies) be prepared for this battle.

My bible says that all will come to know Jesus...perhaps that is what will happen when the final battle ends...those still living will see God and at that time be able to accept his message that LOVE is the only thing that matters!

The One True God 3.0?

What I'm trying to say here is, aside from followers of Islam itself, the only people really at ease with thinking of all three religions as following the same god tend to be atheists and other secular irreligious types.
(And many of those just insult religion, period. Hereabouts on Answers!, anyways.)

And I'm sure you'll get a dozen or so "false prophet" or other replies that prove me right.

How can you say you love God and hate your brother? --Jesus

It's people who claim to be followers of the way but who really aren't that would insult other people for their religion.

On the other hand, the Jesus of the Holy Bible cannot possibly be the same Jesus as the prophat in the Holy Koran because their teachings are inconsistent (Same with the God of Jacob versus the Allah of whom Mahamed is a prophet). As religion as spirituality has become a political tool the referring to God ceased being translated and therefore "Savior" remains "Jesus"; "the way" becomes "Christianity;" and "Lord" remains "Allah" in our language (so we know who to kill when we worship our supreme state instead of our supreme Lord). Thus, people do not feel that they could possibly be insulting their own Lord when they mean to be insulting yours because they have relegated a different meaning to the words they use.

Incidentally, I think that Mahamed was aware of this when he qualified the one God, Allah, with the phrase "and Mahamed is his prophet."

Allah akbar--The Lord is Great

p.s. spelling was always my worst subject in grade school please do not regard my incompotence as sacrelidge

Sorry, but nowhere in the bible does Jesus call himself a prophet. What the bible says about Him is, 'In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.......... And the word became flesh and dwelt among us' John 1. Regardless of what we call God, Islam stops short and does not believe that Christ is the fulfilment of prophesy and that without Him, no man can enter the Kingdom of God.

Jesus is God Jehovah. Allah iS not the God of Abraham as you claim. even Abraham said that God would provide a lamb for sacrifice which he did in Jesus Abraham knew from the start God's love Islam does not teach that Allah loves us.

Wow that is a leap to say that all of the religions worship allah.
This kind of negates the argument of peace through islam. If all religions are under allah what in the world are the terrorists doing killing other faithful people? Why would Iran want to keep going down the road it is going? I guess under this thinking all terrorists should put down their weapons and quit making bombs.

people have become fenatics in the face if islam and defiled the Quran in such a way...leading to the events of 9-11...not all muslims believe...but they certainly proved how nuts they are..so please don't talk about insulting our Gods because they don't condone that either. in any religion. so muslims have made their religion hated and they disrespect women too so you only bring it on yourselves. by your actions you insult the true word of Allah anyway. 9/11 must have been approved by him right?
