BAD idea!
Why would you put a cross on the bottom of your foot? If your a Christian you would see that in a way, that is disrepecting what God for you and all of us by His Son dying on it. And you want to place it in a location where you'll be stepping on it all the time?
No.. that just seems wrong to me. If your embarrassed to have it where it shows remember that Jesus said this....
"Anyone who is ashamed of me, I will also be ashamed of them to my Father in Heaven."
If you want it, put it on top of your foot, on your ankle, wrist, back of the neck... anywhere but the bottom of your foot. Just seems wrong.

I just got a tattoo and while I was in the shop I saw multiple people being turned away because they wouldn't do tats on the bottom of your feet or on your toes because you know how your feet get all torn up and you get a lot of dead skin so the skin doesn't hold the ink well in the first place and then as time goes on it will fade alot... you may have to really search out a place that will do it if you really want it, but just keep in mind that many good artists will not do that area so just keep that in mind, good luck!

Well I can tell you this....a former roommate of mine got a butterfly on the arch of her foot. 2 things to keep in mind: it will wear off quicker there than any other place on your body, and also it is the most painful part on your body. Her tattoo artist tried to talk her out of it, because there is no other place on your body that is as sensitive to pain as the arch of your foot. Good luck!

if you do it on the higher part towards the top yeah good idea. bad idea if you go lower or on the bottom.
reason- the lower your tat is the more wear it gets from rubbing on your socks and shoes. it will fade faster
a girl friend of mine just got faries done on the top of her foot up a lil twds the ankle- perfect spot so not to be rubbed all the time.

The palms of your hands and the bottom of your feet have a different kind of skin and it doesn't hold ink very well. You can expect a lot of blurring and some patchyness, but as long as you know not to expect something pretty you can have some fun with it.

Its not that it is not a good idea...it is just in a very sensitive area...usually tattoos in sensitive areas tend to hurt more then ones in areas with more fatty tissue.

There is allot of wear on that part of the body so they don't usually last long.
