IMO it is more selfish/arrogant to beleive that we all have the same neutral fate. That saying there is no incentive to aspire to anything greater than what we already are. That's a "safe" way to protect ourselves from any wrong doing, but negates the value of working to do right and good things. You know kind of like when we're in elementary school and everyone has to miss recess (it's not a terrible time, but it's not that fun either) because some of the kids can't behave themselves while others work diligently, etc.

That's my 2cents. Thanks for the question.

The question is arrogant in that it misstates the truth.

It should be

To believe that we all have absolutely no hope of anything better than this life?

or

To believe that God give everyone a chance for eternal life but he will not force anyone to accept it?

I'd say it's more arrogant to believe no one has any hope, because it means rejecting the hope that's offered and that my friend is arrogance.

You have decided to chose what you think is good and evil instead of accepting the tree of life and believing God.

Stop blaming others for your choice.

To believe that we all have the same fate, which would be arrogant because that means that everything that Jesus did here on earth was in gest. Nope Jesus, no reason for you to have done that...... we all carry our own fate. We get to go wherever we want now because we're pretty darn smart. We don't need God or you.... and Selfish because the Lord loved you so much he prepared a place in heaven for those who believed in him.... it is selfish to keep yourself from God (your creator) and to deny him when he gave you life!

I don't think either is selfish or arrogant. A belief shouldn't have anything to do with what you want. A belief should be determined by what adds up to you. Will you believe the truth, or will you believe only what you want to? Selfish/arrogance comes in denying the truth to believe something you merely WANT to agree with.

It would be more selfish to believe we are above others and can only enter ourselves, literally, but I believe that only people who would naturally go against God are not allowed into heaven. For instance, people who are stuck on the opinion that God causes grief without reason, won't go to heaven, while people who appreciate his influence on their lives will. It's not that I believe I am better, it is the conditions of the soul that separate men from God.

There is no harm in believing either one. The arrogance comes from assuming one knows which fate is due whom (including oneself).

Neither. I believe what I am told in the Bible. We are all destined to Hell, but by the grace of God, some of us follow Him to the path of righteousness that leads to Heaven. We all have an invitation. You choose whether or not to RSVP.

Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few chosen.

Eph 1:4 even as He elected us in Him before the foundation of the world, for us to be holy and without blemish before Him in love,
Eph 1:5 predestinating us to adoption through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

Eph 1:11 in whom we also have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of the One working all things according to the counsel of His own will,

Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
Eph 2:5 even we being dead in deviations, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are being saved),
Eph 2:6 and raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,

Rom 8:29 because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers.
Rom 8:30 But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

God chooses, God elects, God selects. Not based on anything we do or have done, nor on our position in this world, but simply out of His grace, love and mercy.

It is your choice where you spend eternity. DO NOT TRY TO BLAME SOMEONE ELSE!

King James Version (KJV)

21For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

22But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

23For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
