my son went into an empty house and took things that didnt belong to him. the house wasnt occupied so there were no people involved, other than the two boys he was with. he returned everything he took, he knows it was the dumbest thing he has done.....

I think he needs to find some new friends. Chances are this wasn't their first or last time.
I think I'd ground him the entire summer.

Well kids this day come up with the craziest things when they are with friends. I don't think he is a bad kid if he realized it was wrong. Just talk to him and tell him to learn from his mistakes, he could get shot if the owner was home and owned a gun in that house, for burglary. Also their could be camera and he will defiantly get busted. What you need to do is check his friends, they might be rebels and can get your son in trouble. good luck, i do not have kids of my own but i do have younger sisters that i really care about and always check what their up to.

What is the question? You son robbed a house. Now what? Most people who get caught think it is the dumbest thing they ever did....

I'm totally lost. Never saw your other question.
If your son did this, it was breaking and entering, tresspassing. It was criminal. Those people will never feel safe in their own home again.
It's a good thing he returned what he took, but I would urge him to drop his "friends" and grow up, before he lands in jail.

He did the crime, now he needs to do the time. I know you want to protect your son, but you can't protect him from everything.

put him in a detention center for a few months. it's straighten his sorry a ss up. turn him in, before you are an accessory to it.
