my boyfriend keeps lying to me about things, none of the lies are that big but its annoying me that he lies so often, i asked him why he lies the other day and he said to avoid an argument, what can i do to make him feel better about being more open with me instead of him feeling he has to lie. i just dont no what to think or do, please help.

WANNA KNOW WHAT TO DO?? -->> STOP ASKING HIM TO LIE AND THEN TRY AND GET AWAY WITH BLAMING HIM FOR IT.
SOME GUYS WILL LIE because they are not interested in argueing with you. . . or playing the game by YOUR RULES. This is EXACTLY what he has already told you, but you STILL think its HIS problem.

WOMEN ASK MEN TO LIE CONSTANTLY.
And I will prove it.
In too many common situations, women prefer a dash of ******** (a.k.a "what she wants to hear") rather than the TRUTH. And every man knows it.
Dont believe it?? No . . . sometimes I just don't believe it either.
Example of questions women WANT GUYS to LIE about:
(or AT LEAST tell them what they "WANT TO HEAR")
--> "Were you checking that girl out??". There is nothing wrong with him saying "YES I WAS... SO??". But MANY women will act as though he cheated right there and in MOST cases would rather hear a LIE. "No! No! Not at all!! You are the only woman I ever notice". Please . Gimme a break.
--> Does my A-S look fat in these pants??
No woman wants to hear "Hmmm. . . .Those are a bit too tight. Try the other ones on."
--> Are you saying I'm fat??
The only correct answer is "Are you saying you are NOT??"
--> "Do you love me??"
No woman wants to hear "Well actuallly, no I don't love you, but so far you seem really nice" , even though its totally NON- OFFENSIVE and completely TRUE.
--> "How do you like my new haircut?".
No woman wants to hear "Well, since you asked, I preferred your hair before" , even though its totally NON- OFFENSIVE and completely TRUE.
Fascinating, when you think about it carefully, isn't it?

WOMEN ALWAYS SAY --->> "ABOVE ALL, WE HATE BEING LIED TO." But . . . no you don't . If that were true you wouldn't constantly ASK US to do it all the time.
FACT: WHAT WOMEN HATE MORE THAN A GUY THAT LOOKS THEM IN THE FACE AND LIES . . . IS A GUY THAT LOOKS THEM IN THE FACE, AND TELLS THEM THE TRUTH!
Anyone who says differently, is LYING TO YOU.
So now that you are aware of the problem,
Are you prepared to accept responsibility enough to fix it??
Because MEN -->> WOULD RATHER NOT FEED YOU BULLSH•T YOU NEED TO HEAR. I GUARANTEE IT.
MOST IMPORTANTLY -->> A REAL MAN will NOT LIE to try and appease you. The only problem with THAT is . . . you will think of him as a "JERK" because he didn't tell you what you want to hear.
I am a guy like that. And I don't CARE that you think of me as a "JERK". So feel free. At least I didn't LIE to you.
So which do you prefer . . .?? . . . . a WUSSY GUY who LIES to appease you . . . . or a "Jerk" who doesn't tell you what you want to hear.

Depends on specific situation but odds are he will continue to lie no matter what you say. For some reason he thinks it is better than the truth. Find a new guy.

If he lies about some things he probably lies about other things. I would dump him because you can never tell if he is lying or not.

You know what...that happens to me with my bf. He usually lies to me so many times....I broke up with him...then he begged me back...I told him, that he has to tell me the truth from now on, no matter what...or where he goes....
Now, our relationship is so much better and we've been together for 3 years now. :) Communication is the most important in a relationship.

Tell him plainly that you dont trust him anymore.
if that does not change him then this is your cue to go.
liers dont make very good husbands.
