You can be a Jr. Bridesmaid and walk with the 2-yr old or pull her in a wagon or something cute like that....its not MANDATORY to have a flowergirl, but it would be nice to have both of you in the wedding, and your title to be Jr. Bridesmaid instead of flowergirl...
Hope that helps!!
Have fun!

Well, my 27 year-old niece offered to be my flower girl... There are no little girls in either my or my fiance's family, so we are just not having a flower girl. Has the bride considered that?

I think it's lovely that you're being included in the wedding party, but perhaps a jr. bridesmaid would be more appropriate. Or perhaps you could escort the 2 year-old since she's too young to do it by herself? The young one could be dressed in a flower girl outfit, and you in a more grown-up dress in the same color as the bridesmaids, but not necessarily the same style.

Either way, have fun! Weddings are all about being happy and enjoying yourself, so don't sweat it if the bride really wants you to be a flower girl, but do suggest the other possibilities--she just may not have thought of them.

In a situation like yours, it would not be a bad idea for another member of the wedding party to provide the flower girl. Perhaps the daughter of the matron of honor, or the daughter or niece of the best man. These ideas are a real boost and way of expanding the celebration to the whole wedding party. It isn't necessary for every member of the wedding celebration to be a blood relative of the bride or groom.

I think this ties very closely to an idea that I have about everyone in the wedding party having a gift to bring home with them. If anyone wants more ideas about how this last part works, email me.

As far as I know it's written nowhere that you can't be a flower girl for a wedding at the age of 13 or 14. What it really comes down to is whether the bride and groom say it's ok--it's their wedding after all. If they don't care, than there's nothing to worry about.

If my best friend ever gets married, I've already stated that I'm going to be his best "man". Now that's just weird, but he thinks it's a great idea, so who cares what other people think? It's not their wedding.

That's a little old to be a flower girl. Perfect age to be a junior bridesmaid though. You could be a junior bridesmaid while the 2 year old is a flower girl and you can help her down the aisle.

It's really up to the bride though and whatever she decides. If she asks you to be a flower girl and you think you're too old, you can politely decline.

Be a junior bridesmaid. That is the next job up for the age that you are. You would look pretty silly to be a flower girl, cuz you are not considered a young girl.
Or you know what, you could hand out flyers, or help the bridesmaids run errands before and after the wedding, and help in the reception, help get things put together for the receptionist.

A flower girl is usually a young girl between the ages of 4 and 8 who has a special connection to the bride and groom.
A junior bridesmaid is between 8-12 years old.

Well your cousin hasnt set a date yet and if it takes him a while the 2 year old will have some years on her by then and will probally be fit for the job.

But there are no rules for how a wedding is suppose to be. I can see how you felt a little awkward about it though. Usually at your age you would be considered a jr bridesmaid.

too old. flower girls are usually from the ages of like 2-6. a 13 year old can be a junior bridesmaid. i think it would look silly to see a grown girl as a flower girl.

not usually, but due to the lacking of girls you can arrange that. I could see the 2 yr old doing the job and possibly u helping her walk down the aisle. I have seen that. Usually when you are over 10 or so..you play the role as jr. maid. I'm having the same problem in my family except with the ring bearer..we have no boys, except one that will be 1 yr old during our wedding. Good luck figuring it out. Even if some may think it looks weird you can make it look beautiful.

Normally by that age you would be a JR. Bridesmaid. The oldest that I know for a flower girl is about 9 or 10 at the oldest.
