if the allergy is severe enough to cause anaphylactic shock, then no. Many MREs contain peanuts or traces of nuts, and the military cannot guarantee that you will be able to eat when in the field, nor can they gty that you will not be exposed to peanuts.

My husband is finishing his 14th year in the Military and he has a peanut allergy. So yes, someone with peanut allergies can enlist in the military.

Probably not. They serve lots of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in Boot Camp. All the enemy soliders would have to do is throw a peanut at you to get the casuality.

Im sorry to tell you this, yet whether you had a minor peanut hypersensitive reaction you may nonetheless be completely disqualified I heard a pair of guy who had a strawberry hypersensitive reaction became DQd, no longer even extreme, merely could no longer consume strawberries NO hypersensitive reactions OF ANY sort

Why not, I'm sure they will not make you eat something you're allergic to, especally if you're deathly allergic. So I'm saying yes, because I believe that evey one has allergies to something. Like I am to masquitos, if I'm bitten by a masquito sometimes the lumps get as big as my hand...

i don't see why not...the enemy usually doesn't fire back with peanuts...lol...sure why would it matter? Even in the Marines they don't force you to eat foods you are allergic to.
