yes i did, i got a moon and a star on my foot to see if i liked the idea of having a real tattoo there, luckily i did like it because i had to get a real tattoo to cover the hideous scar that was left by it. i had an allergic reaction to the ink. you have to becareful, just use the natural henna die. more and more everyday people are putting in different kinds of things in there so they could last longer. see if they can just do a small test patch and then come back if everything clears up ok

I used to actually do them for myself and other people when I worked at an Indian trinket store. I love henna tattoos. I think the intricate designs look absolutely gorgeous on hands and feet. Depending on the quality of the henna (which good quality is hard to find because most you find in stores has been sitting on a shelf for too long) , and the proper care the tattoos can last 2-3 weeks. Most people end up hating them because the quality of the henna used was crap, and they smeared it before it was dry. When you get one done, take care NOT to smear it. Once it is smeared it's very difficult to undo. (Use baby oil if this happens though). Then, wait until the paste is partially dry and make a mixture of sugar and lemon juice. Dab it all over the paste. It may seem 'icky' or cold but believe me it's worth it. Keep applying it every few hours. What it does is make the paste darken and last longer. Also, it is best not to peel the paste off yourself. Let it flake off on it's own to make the color underneath last even longer.

My henna tattoo only lasted 2 weeks. I had mine done when I was in Mexico, but i've noticed that a lot of tattoo and body piercing shops are doing henna tattoos now.

I got one in Hawaii and thought it was pretty cool, just don't let it get smudged before it dries all the way... now i've seen you can get the hena which is the brown ink, and then there is another kind of ink that is black and it peels off and you can get a glittery type that also lasts like a week.... some places claim that the henna lasts 3 weeks but I would say only about 2 weeks, its just fun its not like its permenent.

I had a henna done before and I liked it. It did peel after it dried but the design was still there. The people who did mine also put on a citrus glaze to make it last a little longer. Mine's lasted for a little over a week.

I did get one (orange) it was the ugliest mistake I've made. It sort of smeared and last way to long. Now when my friend and I are together, if were about to do or buy something that could be foolish we alway's say "OH THATS A HENNA"!!
