If you are talking about the comic book, it's a crime noir series written and drawn by the great Frank Miller. There is also a movie by the same name. If it's the city you refer to, Las Vagas is what you are thinking of. Vegas got the name for all the gambling, boozing, and screwing that goes on there. I highly recommend both the comic and the city. Especially the city. Enjoy.
