Without a few relevant details, I'm making a guess here.

You could be allergic to the ink, but that isn't super common. A more common thing that may be happening (but without details, take this with a grain of salt) is that you're over-moisturizing.

This is a problem for folks who've gotten their first, especially in the first week or two of having the tattoo done. I know I did it myself - we're just not sure how much is right, and more seems like a good idea. Well, no, actually... more is less. You just want to keep the tattooed skin feeling not dry and like the surrounding skin, and the surrounding skin generally shouldn't have the moisturizer on it.

You don't want the tattooed skin to feel slimy or wet. Most moisturizers suggested for tattoos tend to be a little on the heavy side, and they can minor topical excema (a rash) in the area overdone. If this is the case: keep the area clean; let the rash die down over the next day or four with no moisturizer on rashy area & *very* small amounts on the non-rashed tattooed areas. Go back to applying *small* amounts to the tattooed areas once the rash has calmed.

Note that if the above suppositions don't hold - this isn't your first, you aren't doing lots of moisturizer, etc - then it may not be correct.

broke out how? is this your first tattoo? getting a tattoo is like scaring your skin. like if you get a cut, when it starts to heal and you get a scab it gets itchy, BUT DONT SCRATCH IT. when you peel off a scab whether its on purpose or not some of the ink will go with it and then youll have to touch it up.

the best thing for you to do is get some a&d ointment at walgreens or cvs and us that, and a few times a day get a wash cloth and put it in hot water then let it sit on your tattoo this gets all the gunk out of your skin that causes it to scab.

it is normal, it is part of the healing process. Do not scratch it. It takes about 2 weeks for it to heal completely. Wash it with a disinfectant soap and apply some lotion to it. See if you tattoo place sells location for it. I used something called tattoo goo.

it can happen. my mom got an almost poison ivy looking rash on her after it was done.
just keep it clean and make sure none of the bumps break and ulcerate.
don't scratch it bcse that will effect your tat and how it heals.
if it gets reallly itchy put ice on it or a cold rag/paper towel. that will take the itch away.

ps don't scratch lol

Could be. I get itchy when I'm tattooed with red ink, although I have no fruit or vegetable allergies. You probably want to contact your artist, see what they suggest.
