Well, first of all you toast bread! lol!
put in under the broiler in your oven.

If you have an oven, you could put a slice of bread in the oven and put the oven on "broil" and cook it like you'd cook garlic bread. This will take just a couple minutes, so watch it constantly, and remove it when it starts to just brown, or else you will wind up with burnt toast, even though you don't have a toaster.

if your oven doesn't have a "broil" feature, you could just bake the slice of bread at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 5-10 minutes. This won't get you quite as "toasty" as a result.

Your other option is to buy some pre-made Texas Toast, like they have in the frozen foods section, and try microwaving that. I have not tried that, so don't know how your results would be...

If you have one of those solid stove tops, you could clean the surface, turn on the burner, then drop the bread on there and turn when it gets brown.

If you have the older exposed burner style ranges or a gas stovetop, stick the bread on a fondue fork or two pronged roasting fork and hold it over the element on high for a few minutes on each side. This is just like broiling, but without having to turn on your big oven just do make toast.

Set your oven on broil and place toast on top shelf. It turns out better if you use butter on the bread before putting in oven.

My toaster broke a few weeks ago, and I haven't the money to buy a new one. Now i just use the grill in my oven, as long as you turn the toast over and turn it round it tastes the same as a toaster! Or get a toastie machine!! Luuuuuush toasties =D

You don't toast toast, you toast bread to make toast. LOL.
Okay, I just had to say that. lol.

You could try and put it in the oven....say around 350, lightly grease a cookie sheet and place your bread on there. It shouldl toast in less than 10 minutes.
Good luck with that.

Sure. If you have a frying skillet of some sort, heat over the burners of your stove and place slices of bread in it when hot. Turn after a minute or so , maybe less.. You will have toast.
You can pre -butter the toast if you want. That's how they do it in the restaurants.

Put it in the oven at about 400 degrees. Keep an eye on it and you may need to flip it over.

Lay the bread out flat on the oven rack and put it on like 450. It will only take like 2 minutes on each side... bon appetit :)
