NewCatholic, I'm quite aware this has been happening for a while; thank you very much. I just want to know what people think about it, and what should/will happen to the people who commited these crimes.

as a general whole, i think it is continuing on the same path of Christianity is always has - standing true to their convictions that religion/faith/the bible do not "change with the times".
in regards to the priests that have abused children - they have let their faith slide and let satan in - this is horrifying and disappointing. i am only thatful that it's come to light for the victims can get some help, the priests can be convicted in a court of law and the true priests can get on with their ministry. there are far more good then bad.

Unless you have had your head in the sand, it is not a new thing.
The Church has already addressed the issue, has corrected it as much as any group could, has apologized for it, has sought forgiveness for it, is paying for help for the victims, and is paying reparations for it.
All that does not make up for the wrongs that a very few committed, but what else can the Church do? You have to remember that it was the actions of a very few evil men, not the whole faith. There are more School Teachers that are molesters, do your kids still go to school?

The poop is acting like the divisive force that catholicism is known for. It is pretty silly for him to announce that all other religions are going to hell, but he said it. Meanwhile, the pedophile priests will still get to heaven, since the poop will forgive them their sins.

A handfull of people are not following Gods law, as the same with all religions. the church its self is fine and strong with over 1.2 billion followers.

In what regard? Latin masses, laity participation, liturgical reform, sexual abuse scandals, lack of priests, the annual picnic getting rained out...?

satan is out to get God's servants (The Priests). Satan is working harder than ever to destroy the "Shepherds" (Priests) and thus scatter the "sheep" (Catholics). Let us PRAY for the Priests! God bless.

I'm guessing they wont like it.
The child abuse not the fact people were caught.
I'm sure they'd welcome that.
