well not sure i understand but If you lied about father to kid then there is not a good reason. If he was that bad you should have done it the legal and way and kept kid from him him. Now the kid is gonna see you as a liar and may spark interest in the father. You need to come clean with your child and hope that they can understand and forgive you.

It would depend on your son's age more than anything probably. If he is old enough to be told the truth, tell him you are sorry you lied but you feel you had a good reason. Then tell him the reason. If he is younger, it might be best to tell him you lied for a good reason and you will explain to him when he is older. But make sure you admit that you lied, kids are not dumb and at the least will be glad you admitted it. Good luck.

There is never ever a good reason to lie to your children. How do you expect them to be honest. You are responsible for teaching that to your son. Tell him you made a mistake, you are sorry and tell him the truth.

You should tell him the truth.
It might be hard but it is what is best. The past has a way of catching up so its best to let it remain as authentic as possible.
Explain to him why you lied but do not justify what you did. make it clear that you did not intend to hurt his feelings and that it was wrong for you to lie to him.
He will be mad at first but he will get over it.
