I think it speaks volumes about their Party.
Gays have the same rights under the Constitution everyone else does. No more, and no less.
This debate on "gay issues" implies that there either is or should be a Constitutional difference based on sexual orientation. Neither position is supportable, and I doubt any of the three actually believe either.
All they want is the "gay vote".
You'd have to be stupid to buy into it, whether you are gay or antigay or just consider yourself "enlightened".
There are no legitimate presidential issues to discuss at a "gay debate". It's just pandering.

As someone with a smart-aleck sense of humor, I find the comment amusing. However, some things really should not be said on a national level. The "all-musical" comment is definitely one of those things that makes for a great night with friends at a coffee shop... but shouldn't be said amongst the general public.
That being said... I've always been a supporter of same-sex marriage (to be P.C.). It is a human rights issue. I'm going to quote the founding fathers on this one: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal..." If we as a nation were founded on this principle, we need to uphold it for homosexuals, bisexuals, and transgendered individuals just the same as we upheld it for African-Americans during the Civil War and women during the time of Cady Stanton and Susan Anthony.
Not to mention (before the people more conservative in beliefs than I am jump down my throat) the simple facts are that:
A) married people pay more taxes- can we say "paid taxes help decrease the national debt"
B) the children of same-sex couples deserve the same protections and rights that children of different-sex couples have.
It isn't fair to the children to strip away their security and protection just because their parents are in a same-sex relationship. I personally care more about getting protection for the kids than anything else in the whole bloody debate.
Plus this whole thing should be a media circus- and who doesn't enjoy watching those? Some funny stuff goes down at these things, and this one should be more entertaining than most because of the topic. Not to mention the whole clash of the titans (think GBLT and their supporters vs. Conservative Politicians). It's going to be an interesting aftermath- someone should sell tickets!

So what? I do not care if they want to talk about the issues that effect gays. In the last debate they talked mainly about the issues that effected black. Granted, blacks are effected by a lot more issues than gays. If they want too, I do not have any objection.

Good for them. Definitely shows the Republican Party as the "haters" party, especially the gay Republicans working against their own cause.
We need to cut the military's budget by half so that we can spend it on domestic infrastructure, poor people and poorer countries. Enough wars and military occupations.

To me this is the stupidest one they can do. There are only a few issues that should need to be addressed - gay marriage and gay adoptions. Any other issue should have no difference based on your sexual preference.

This doesn't surprise me. This country is going down the wrong path. Clinton, Edwards and Obama will say anything to get elected.

That's bull ****, why should Gays get preferential treatment, they are the same as every one else or so they keep spouting so why have a separate debate forum.
Whats next all black forum, how about an all white Christian forum that will get toungs wagging.

I think they'll all say they love gays and that the next president after them should be gay.
