I never saw Pacquiao fight as a flyweight but im sure he must have been pretty explosive even then. If Lopez moved up to Flyweight out of his natural weight class to fight him would Pacquiao have had a chance to be the first fighter to defeat Lopez, 12 rounds flyweight who wins?

Ricardo Lopez fought in a division in which he ways about 105 pounds. Pacquiao is currently in a division in which he is having success at 130 pounds. The natural size difference, even at a catch weight would probably be too much for Lopez to handle.

It's indisputable that Pacquiao is the better fighter pound-for-pound. However, if he fought Lopez at flyweight he'd lose to El Finito. Why? From the outset, it was clear that flyweight wasn't Manny's natural fighting weight. He got knocked out by an unheralded Filipino named Rustico Torrecampo while campaigning at 112, and in his first defense of the IBF flyweight crown, he failed to make the weight and lost his title even before climbing the ring. Eventually, he got knocked out by the new Thai champ. On the other hand, Lopez is a natural flyweight and a classy boxer and he'll definitely give Pacquiao a neat boxing lesson.

In boxing size matters, and Lopez was a little guy. Pacquiao hits as hard as any little guy in history, but Manny had trouble when Marquez didn't stay down, and got out boxed the last ten rounds of his fight with Marquez. Morales also gave Manny trouble boxing, and beat Manny the first time they went at it. I have nothing but respect for Ricardo and consider him a better boxer than either Marquez or Morales, but I gotta send a thumbs up to Woody, he's right, Pacquiao would have been too big for Lopez, even if they met in the middle at aroung 120-125.

Manny over powers the smaller Lopez.

I dont care how smart lopez is. Even at the same weight class Pacquiao would leave no room for ricardo lopez to think, Pacqiao would have keptpunching lopez with right and left . Pacquiao wins 5th round KO at fly weight.

I also never saw Ricardo Lopez fight, but when Manny was young and he was flyweight then, he's not too technical, i mean his skills were not developed yet. He's just known as a power puncher that time and a relentless attacker.

If they fought at Flyweight Lopez would've won no question. Anything higher and Manny wins due to size.

In flyweight? Ricardo Lopez would dominate most times, but eventually would taste enough hard punches he would succumb by 11th round by KO.

Lopez was probably one of the most smartest boxers ever boxed. I went undefeated and 1 draw.

Lopez would have figured Pac-man style and than capitalize on pac's weaknesses.
I go for Lopez KO on late rounds.
Given they are fighting on a same weight class

Manny wins. The great bigger man almost always beats the great smaller man plus I think Manny was better at flyweight anyway.

Ricardo Lopez would win this fight in his prime just as Morales would have won in his prime.
