Well the Christian I've heard speak most on the topic is an ardent believer that the climate is changing and humans are the cause of it. He is so passionate on the subject, he made a film about the topic.
You might have heard of it - a little flick called, "An Inconvenient Truth."
You might have heard of this Christian - he was once a Vice President of the USA.
His name is Al Gore.

I think you're talking about Neo-Cons, which in this country seem to have become almost synonymous with Christianity. Christianity was here long before the Republican party, and pending the Parousia, it will be here long after.
Historical Christianity has issued no doctrinal statement stating, "Global Warming is a Myth".
That said, I think the denial comes from a dislike of the Democratic Party. As I dislike both parties, I'm not really phased by what either of them say. I'm no expert, but it seems that Global Warming is real. Time will tell.

Interesting... I've never heard anybody particularly say that denial was a Christian trait only. I'm sure there are both Christians and non-Christians who both believe and deny. I think this type of labelling may be stereotyping, and I believe that it is unmeritted.
Further, I think we need to be clear that nobody doubts the facts... that the earth is showing a warming trend. The denial that you refer to comes from the *source* of that warming.
I wish this weren't such a politically-charged topic of contraversy... and I'm appalled that anyone would try to make it a religious contraversy as well... I'm fairly certain that no legitimate Christian religion touts global warming anywhere in its dogma.
Let's just each do what we can to live as green as possible, and move on with our lives.

Not quite, I have watched a number of boring doco's on it... and managed to stay awake and live to tell the tale...
I don't buy it cause you can't have 100,000 years worth of data when proper data collection has only been around properly for 100years or less...
So if you can show me, specifically that it is not a pattern - don't give me gargbage about ice readings because if it really was that hot and the ice melted at one stage you would not know because no ice would have been formed to make the readings....
Any way like I said I will still do my best to look after the environment and take some of your environment conscious tips and implement them....
Loved the comic very funny....

Seriously people I am Christian and I believe in Global Warming. Its apparent that its happening. And its Biblical for goodness sake. This world will come to an end some day maybe not soon but one day so it just makes sense that Global Warming is happening. I dont know what christians your talking to but not all are uneducated so please stop with your foolish generalizations.

ANYONE that says Global warming isn't true, must be an alien from out space or a "nut" living in delusion since they sure aren't accepting the "realities" of the times. I have lived for 53 years and I have never seen such changes in weather as is occurring in present times. The NATURAL cycles of seasons are all out of whack on this planet and each year seems to get WORSE. WE the people of the world should be all united to end the destruction of our planet for once it is gone so are WE................

Christian here. I don't know of any Christians who say global warming is a myth. The evangelicals do but they only make up for 7% of Christianity.

we constantly hear and see that it is getting. hot than it has been in a hundred years. what this suggests is that the climate is cyclical. we go from ice ages to neotemprate periods in time, and then back again. historical evidence seems to point more to temperature cycle over a long period of time.

yeah, global warming is a bunch o' crap. The only reason Gore invented it was to live out his 15 minutes of presidential election fame a bit longer.
