hmm... i would be a little upset, probably thinking that i might have raised them wrong (no effense 2 gays, but this is against my religion, i am nice to them and treat them like normal people but i wouldnt be the happiest mother if my kids were gay) but i would show them my full support, and try to show them that i will love them no matter what.....

Okay, for the record I am a Bisexual Christian with no children.

I would tell them the same thing that I always say when I get asked this question.

The reason why they are a Christian is because they trust God through Jesus Christ. They can pick a promise from the Bible and lean on it, and be assured that God will fulfill it.

Being Homosexual has nothing to do with any of that. It is merely the evidence of sin in us that we know all too well dwells within us. If you were born that way or are just leaning that way, it doesn't matter, lean on God's word and love others, as you would love yourself.

And then we would go have sushi or pizza with the current person of interest and have all kinds of discussions about everything under the sun. lol

By the way:
I know your group. I don't agree with you. But I know that there will be differences in opinion on everything depending on who you are talking to.

That being said, peace to you. I don't think that you'll have peace in the long run, but that's not my fault!

Within my church this is not an issue. Many denominations of Christianity have moved to a more open accepting opinion of sexuality. Many have looked at the words that have been mistranslated and made corrections within their doctrine. Some hard line sects will continue to cause the spread of pain. But, at least now their is a growing option for people to experience the true love of the Lord.

I am a gay Christian...so I could relate...

God commands us to love the world as he loves us...unconditionally. So, I would love my child in an unconditional manner. If he were to do something that I not approve of...I would still continue to love him..regardless.

My kids are 6 and 4 right now. I tell them you can tell me anything you have done or said and it will change nothing about how I feel for you. . .which is what my response would be if one of them told me they were gay.

They are my children and I love them . . . .I don't think I ever really knew true love until I became a mom. . .nothing could take my love for them away. . .or my pride in them. .they are wonderful little people. ;)

I would let them know that God abhors that and I'm very disappointed, but they're still my child and I still love them, so not alot would change. I wouldn't disown them, or throw them out of the house or anything. I'd probably let them know I wouldn't want any kissing, handholding, etc going on in my sight, out of respect to me.

I would have to pray and pray harder. I believe if someone thinks that they are gay, then they don't know the Lord as their savior.

My church doesn't believe in that stuff! It is called:

Love the sinner
Hate the sin!

In my church it would give them disadvantages to the possibilities we have in our church(The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints)!

I don't have kids, so this is just my thoughts now; you never what you'd do until you're in that position. I would love them and pray for them, but I would not condone their behavior and I would tell them so.
