It happened to me twice. A circuit board is bad. This could be no charge if it is less than three months old or over $500. Before sending it to a technician, check with the manufacturer. Not all TV repair people are qualified to work on plasma TVs.

is the fuse in the plug blown have switch it on some plasma and lcd tv have a seperat switch on the back of the tv . read the manual to locate the switch how old is your plasma think i read somewhere that plasma tv as life span of 20 25 years depending on the amount of use are you useing the remort maybe batteries have run out try the on off button on the tv other than that buy a hdtv
