I have a question for ya -- years ago, you could call a special ring back number and hang up, and it would call your fone back. This was very helpful to know what fones were turned on and which were turned off, and if your fone was operating normally. Is there any way to do it now? All the numbers I had don't work anymore.

Thanks! ~Cindy! :)

Thanks for the info, Peach; but I tried the number listed, and it didn't work.

Thank you Joe R. But that didn't work, either. :"( I sure do thank you for tryin! :) I can't figure out why they would discontinue it. I will wait and hope somebody else comes up with something. (I don't have a cell fone to call myself from.)

most dont work any more...

I either use my cell or call 0 and tell the operator i am a tech working on the line and ask her to ring me back...

but this was how it worked in 718

dial 660+xxxx hit flash (or click the switch hook just as you would for call waiting) hear the confirmation tone, then hang up, and the phone would ring back...

xxxx being the last 4 numbers of the phone number you are calling from..

This number is different for nearly every pre-fix so would be hard to give you the right one. Try to find a local phone person and try to talk them out of it. They're not suppose to give it out but if your nice enough they might.
