Add your favorite metal [ gold or silver ];
and your favorite neutrals [ white, gray, and black; or ivory, caramel, and coffee ].
Make sure you have extra throw pillows, some pix or posters or art, and a plant.

The color is called Linen, it is a very very light shade of yellow. It is a Sherman Williams color. It is a nice color with out using off white or white. It gives a nice warm feeling to the room without being trendy or too bright. Any other colors in the room will compliment.
Avoid grays, they scream ...bachelor! Every bachelor I know at one time has used the grey tones in decorating.

What do you want to inspire? What sort of person are you? Any colours would work but if you want to have a sexy bedroom then consider spicy colours like rust, reds, and jewel tones. For a calmer more peaceful bedroom go for the lighter hues and shades. A combination of red, grey/silver, and electric blue would work for a multi purposed room. If you prefer to keep it just for sleeping then think of the neutral shades like cream, taupe, and so forth.
To be honest it's hard for me to sugest something without knowing what sort of styles you like. However, you could keep the walls white and let the curtains, bedding, and other furnishings add the colour while letting you change the styles. As a female I shouldn't say this....however this approach would let you add a couple of hints of the colour your paramour likes. Scoring points in many different ways.

I would go with a more neutral color like a taupe. Looks great with white bed linens and feels so fresh and clean. Taupe (dark beige) is the really in color right now, but not gender specific.

off-white color definitely. With the white bedding you want to stay away from harsh and powerful colors. Do a off-white blue, pale yellow more creamy color, soft brown or off-white brown. These colors provide a cool and refreshing feeling.

Red or orange.
Take a look at a paint shop and look through the sample cards. They often have leaflets showing colour combinations.

Use a medium beige with a touch of maroon mixed in. Deep maroon throw pillows would be nice and a throw rug with cherry, brown, beige and a touch of white in it.
Good luck!

Behr - Sandstone Cove
That color matches everything, very masculine and clean looking. I guarantee is will make your whites look whiter and make cherry-wood look more sophisticated. You can also put any accent color you want with this color.
