Jesus was speaking about the people whom pretty much shout from the rooftops that THEY gave the poor people down the street a bag of groceries instead of doing the deed and having it remain between them and God. The person whom looks to man for praise about doing someone a good deed has already gotten the only praise they are going to get.
It's pretty much a catch 22....doing good things is "nice" and can be a blessing to those the good deed is done for, BUT, if the giving was done from the heart, you wouldn't care if anyone noticed it was done except God and yourself.
So, when they say "Lord, Lord, didn't I give to the poor people down the street when they were in need" Jesus will say "sorry, you can't use that one, you already used your "get out of jail free" card when you used it to get mankind's blessings upon your deed....so, let's see how many 'cards' you still have that are still valid within your heart"
Peace be with you :)

To be saved Jesus must be your "Lord and Savior". Lord means doing what he says, and he said obey his Father God. Phineas Parkhurst Quimby the mentor of Mary Baker Eddy the founder of "Christian Science", could heal, but did not believe Jesus was the Son of God. When you say Jesus is your Lord you have to mean it and show it by your actions.

It is because they are not true believers. Only people who have truly accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Just because someone claims to be a Christian doesn't mean they are, and that is what Christ is telling us in Mt.7:21.
You get into Heaven by FAITH, not by good works. The people who Christ is refering to is the people who do good deeds only to get into Heaven. Just because you go to church every Sunday and you helped so and so do this and that, etc, doesnt give you a passport to Heaven. Christians do good deeds for Christ because they love and honor Him. Christ is our passport to Heaven, and to receive that passport you have to believe in Christ and the whole Bible. This means not twisting the Bible into what you want to do. (ex. I'll follow these two commandments, but I don't like these, so forget them) The whole Bible is the whole truth. Not only do you have to believe, but you have admit you are a sinner and you must repent of your sins. Finally, TRUST that God will get you into Heaven, have some FAITH, and ask God to accept you into the Kingdom of Heaven, despite your sins, ask Him to forgive you of your sins and to help you to grow in your faith. This is an important decision, and a decision that has been given to us because of God's Love for us, love that our human minds will never be able to understand because of its vastness and pureness.
IT IS BY FAITH ALONE THAT YOU GET INTO HEAVEN. Not good works!!!!! (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV) {8} For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--{9} not by works, so that no one can boast.
Hebrews 11: 6 (NRSV) Without FAITH it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach Him must BELIEVE that He exists.... and that He rewards those who seek Him....
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
I hope this helps!!!
\o/ Praise God!!! \o/

A Christian is somebody who believes that Jesus Christ is the messiah, and makes some attempt at following his techniques. Roman Catholics have faith this, so Roman Catholics are Christians, sure. there are a number of Christians who have faith in evolution and that the earth is 4.5 billion years previous. There are some people who attempt to alter the definition of a Christian to something else, or they have a diverse term called "actual Christian" which excludes Catholics. you are able to with politeness disagree with them. i'm hoping this helped.

There's a difference between calling out to Jesus for help, and accepting him as their saviour.

Even the demons believe. But none of them have a relationship with Jesus. And a relationship with Jesus prompts doing the 'will of My Father."

You are taking that verse out of context, as you well know.
He is discussing the FACT that not all people who profess his name from thier MOUTHS actually have faith in HIM.
Therefore, your question is not properly stated. He is talking about non-believers who profess themselves hippocritically as believers. Therefore, it is not accurate to state that Jesus is "not save(ing) these Christians", as they have clearly NOT accepted Jesus... The fact that they had NOT accepted him was the point of that conversation...

Saying "Lord, Lord" and salvation are not the same. My kids say "Daddy, Daddy" just before the go into time out. Doesn't work for them either.
