I was just wondering if there are any youth pastors out there that may have some useful tips regarding the job interview process when moving to another ministry. Thanks

Our church has been looking for a youth minister...of course they could have filled the position and just not announced it yet, but the church Web address is in my profile if you want to investigate.

I'm not a pastor but I've taught classes in interview preparation and strategy and my best advice is this. Know yourself and then be yourself. If you know yourself, you can answer any question they might ask you, and if you answer their questions honestly, their decision will be the right one. You don't want to work at a church that doesn't reflect your beliefs or one that expects you to do what you don't feel led by the Lord to do. If you know your calling and express it honestly, the job you eventually find will be the one the Lord wants you to have!

Hey man.....just wanted to wish you good luck during your interview! Some tips would be....know your theology!!!! Make sure you have some book that you are studying in the Bible and how it has affected and changed you and be ready to answer questions about it! Also....know your crowd in a sense. Know about the background of the church and the congregation and about what affiliation they are with! Can't really give you anymore info cause i have to get back to work! But hey....good luck and let me know how things turn out! Be blessed!
